Caiti and Mark met in the Fall of 2015 as first-year students at Seton Hall Law School. They started off as friends but, as the school year went on, Caiti and Mark grew to admire each other during long nights studying at the library, games of pool in the student lounge, and lunches with law school friends. Caiti appreciated Mark for his quick wit and passion, while Mark thought Caiti had a great sense of humor and was down-to-earth. Around February 2016, Caiti and Mark's law school friends noticed that there was more than friendship between them and encouraged the two to take a chance on each other. Luckily, Seton Hall did a great job teaching their students persuasion and advocacy because Caiti and Mark listened. Mark asked Caiti to be his girlfriend in a Seton Hall Law School study room and the two have been together ever since. Over the last five years, Caiti and Mark's love for each other has grown through all the experiences and hardships that they have shared. Mark has helped Caiti through the hard times like the bar exam, her type one diabetes diagnosis and, worst of all, the New England Patriot's unlikely fourth-quarter Super Bowl comeback against the Atlanta Falcons. And Caiti has introduced Mark to the joys of afternoon baseball games at Yankees Stadium, Neil Young's album "Harvest," and the North Fork of Long Island. On October 12, 2020, Mark asked Caiti to marry him in Saratoga Springs, New York with the ducks at Congress Park as their witnesses. Caiti said yes and can't wait to say yes to more adventures with Mark in the years to come.

Our Story

For our Guests staying at the Hilton (or close-by and want to take advantage of this option), there will be a COACH bus traveling from the hotel parking lot at 1:00 pm sharp to the Church for the ceremony and then from the Church to the reception at The Halyard. The bus will return guests to the Hilton at the end of the reception at approx 9:15. It will also make an additional trip from The Halyard @ 11:15 and back to the Hilton for those who wish to party on! Guests are encouraged to take advantage of our bus so you can enjoy the festivities! Safely!!!! Caiti and Mark have special rates for this hotel, so please reach out to either of us directly and we will share the booking link with you.

While the various hamlets in the North Fork are all charming in their own way, Greenport Village is worth spending some time in. Greenport is well known for its restaurants, bars, shopping, carousel, and marina.

Fans of sparkling rose` will enjoy this vineyard. You can enjoy the bubbles and sunshine while sitting in an adorable outdoor tasting garden that is flanked by historic barns. This is Caiti's favorite North Fork Vineyard.

Croteaux Vineyards

About a half-mile down the road from Caiti's favorite vineyard, Croteaux, is Mark's personal favorite. Corey Creek has spectacular vineyard views, a cozy tasting room, and even Frose`!

If beer is more of your thing, Greenport Harbor Brewery has a fantastic selection of local brews along with lots of outdoor and indoor seating. If you're hungry, the Brewery offers delicious wings and more to snack on.

There are loads of farmstands to try out on the North Fork that sell a variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers, and animal products. One such farm stand is 8 Hands Farm which, according to Afar Maganize, "is an absolute must-see." 8 Hands Farm is a "28-acre family-run farm [that] sells fresh eggs from pasture-raised hens at its on-site market." You will also find "hand-woven rugs and knitted clothing made using wool from the farm’s Icelandic sheep. The sustainable farm also features an outdoor food truck that serves breakfast and lunch from a seasonal menu."

8 Hands Farm

If you decide to take the ferry from Greenport over to Shelter Island, you can hike at Mashomack Preserve. The preserve covers a third of the island with 2,039 acres of&nbsp;interlacing tidal creeks, mature oak woodlands, fields, and freshwater marshes. It's a great way to experience the beauty of the North Fork.

Case's Place is a lovely restaurant located right on Peconic Bay. While sipping on tasty cocktails and taking in waterfront views, you can enjoy their fresh scallops, famous seafood sausage, and other fresh catches.

If you want to do some shopping while out on the North Fork, White Flower Farmhouse has a great selection of vintage furnishings, hardware, and more. A must stop!
