Our Story

Caitlin and Josh met in a classic modern love story way: by swiping right on Bumble. But very little about their story has been traditional. Josh had moved out to Phoenix to start his master’s program, while Caitlin moved out there to be close to her family and start her first ultrasound job. Somehow, they ended up about two streets away from each other! After meeting for the first time in December of 2021, they became practically inseparable.

After only three months of knowing each other, they packed their bags and took their first trip to Joshua Tree National Park and San Diego together. This was the start of their national park journey together!

They were long distance for three months while Josh started his first clinical rotation in Georgia. Josh called Caitlin every single night even though the time difference made it difficult!

Three months apart was too long, Caitlin had enough with the distance. For Josh’s next rotation in Denver, Caitlin took a travel ultrasound assignment out in Pueblo, Colorado. They still lived over an hour away from each other but managed to see one another every weekend.

They fell in love with the beauty of Colorado…just in time for their next move to New England.

New England in the winter was rough and neither of them lived in a great part of town. But, they had a blast exploring Boston together and visiting with family.

They had a fun weekend planned for Cape Cod where it was predicted to have beautiful weather. When they arrived, ice was flying through the air and they could see their breath. Caitlin was confused when Josh asked if she would walk down this entire dock with him. But when they got to the end of the dock, Josh got down on one knee and proposed!

They spent the early part of their engagement on the beach in Corpus Christi for Josh's last clinical site for school.

They spent the early part of their engagement on the beach in Corpus Christi for Josh's last clinical site for school.
After graduation, Caitlin and Josh were both able to get jobs together at the University of Colorado. Since then, they have been able to explore all that Colorado has to offer alongside their mischievous pup, Bruno.
