Q + A

Is there a dress code?

Yes! This event is considered "black tie optional." Black tie optional for men is a traditional suit or tuxedo if desired. For women, formal floor length or formal mid-length dresses are acceptable. Please no short or cocktail style dresses. Please no white dresses. Although this event is in the middle of the summer, both the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be indoors with transportation to and from the ceremony in open-air trolley cars.

Can I bring a guest?

Unfortunately, we can not accommodate additional guests that are outside of what we have accounted for. We can only accommodate guests that were formally invited on your wedding invitation. The wedding invitation will be addressed as {Your Name} + {Guest} if a plus one was given.

Are children allowed?

Unless specified on your invitation, we chose to limit the amount of children invited to close-family only.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! There will be an open bar during cocktail hour, with some fun signature drinks we know our close family and friends will love! However, the bar will close during dinner as complimentary wine pours will be provided. Once dinner is complete and it is time to get dancing, the bar will be back open for service!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We ask that you kindly put your phones away for a silent, unplugged ceremony. We have hired fantastic photographers to capture this special moment for us!

When should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by June 9, 2024. If you are unable to attend, please RSVP at your earliest convenience so we can plan accordingly. If you RSVP past June 9, we will not be able to accommodate your presence, as we do need to provide our venue and vendors with a final guest count.

Upon RSVP, do I need to select an entrée preference?

Entrée selection will not be a part of the RSVP process. Guests will order from a menu upon being seated.

Will transportation be provided?

Yes! Transportation via open-air trolleys will be provided from the Boston Harbor Hotel to St. Cecilia Parish, back from St. Cecilia Parish (post ceremony) to the Boston Harbor Hotel, where the reception will take place in the Wharf Room. Parking is very limited and not guaranteed at St. Cecilia Parish, but available for purchase at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Therefore, guests that are driving into the city are more than welcome to park their car at the Boston Harbor Hotel for trolley pick-up to St. Cecilia Parish at 12:15 PM. Post ceremony, trolleys will be available for transportation back to the Boston Harbor Hotel, in which a complimentary tour of Boston will be provided!

What time does the reception end?

Since our ceremony is at 1 PM, our wedding reception is starting a bit earlier than usual! Therefore, our reception will be ending at 9:00 PM with an after- party scheduled at the Bostonia Public House from 10:00 PM- 1:30 AM. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Let's keep the party going!

If I received a Rehearsal Dinner invite as part of my invitation, what should I wear?

Rehearsal dinner is summer cocktail attire. For females- floral patterns, summer pastels in cocktail style dresses or jump suits. For males- suit, no tie necessary. No jeans please.

If I am flying in from out of town, which airport should I fly into?

Boston Logan International Airport

If I am considering staying in an Airbnb, what areas do you recommend staying in and areas to avoid?

For any guest(s) looking to stay in an airbnb rather than a hotel, we highly recommend staying in the following areas: Back Bay (ceremony location), Downtown Boston, Wharf District (Reception location), North End, Seaport. Areas to avoid: South Boston, East Boston, China Town, Dorchester, Mattapan, Roxbury, Hyde Park, Jamaica Plain. If you have any questions where an airbnb is located, do not hesitate to reach out to us!

Where is the couple registered?

Jake and I are registered with Crate and Barrel, Anthropology, Target, and a few items from The Knot's recommended registry. When viewing registry items from each retail shop, it is easer to view within the retail shops website rather than the list The Knot provides- as a few items listed on The Knot's registry look like duplicates, but are not when you navigate to the different websites registry list.
