Once you parked and enter the walking area, turn right and walk underneath the bridge, turn left on the next bridge and go straight until you reach the water. After that turn right and keep following the water. Once you come across an area with a big opening to see the water and a bench nearby (maybe 5 minutes in), you reached the proposal spot. The River is a beautiful area to walk on dirt trails (turn right from parking area) or bike on paved paths (turn left). It keeps going for quite a while in each direction.

The Sandia Peak Tramway is an aerial tramway with the worlds third longest single span. Take the Tram up to the 10,378-foot crest of the Sandia Mountains and enjoy an 11,000 square mile panoramic view. On the website you can also make reservations to eat at the restaurant up there.
Drive up to the Crest (top of the Sandia Mountain) and enjoy a beautiful sunset over the city. One of the things the bride and groom have done together.
