1. Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. Please refrain from wearing black. Bright colors are encouraged. Please consult the 'Attire' tab for examples and inspiration.
2. What should I wear?
Guests are welcome to wear Indian or Western attire. For Indian wear, please consult the wedding collections on sites such as Panash India, Mirraw, or Indianweddingsaree.com. For Western wear, ladies are welcome to wear medium-long dresses and the gentlemen are welcome to wear dress pants and a button-up shirt (suit jacket optional). The ceremony will take place outside on a grass field thus we advise against shoes with heels.
3. What will the weather be like?
Weather in Memphis gets hot. When travelling, please pack for summer but bring an umbrella to be safe.
4. Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will take place outdoors. Water will be provided. Please bring bug spray and sunscreen as needed. The reception will be indoors.
5. What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.
6. Does your wedding have a color theme?
Yes! Our ceremony will feature vibrant red, bright orange, soft ivory, forest green, and gold accents. Our reception will feature soft white, forest green, and gold accents.
7. What should I do if I can’t make it?
You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
8. How do I get to the venue?
The address for the Recreation Lodge is 15 Grassy Lake Rd. Millington, TN 38053. Sometimes service can be spotty in the forest. If this happens, do not fret. Shelby Forest is lined with signs directing visitors to each of their attractions. If you are ever frustrated with your map, please follow the posted signs.
9. What time should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive at least a half hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!
10. Where should guests park? Is parking free?
Free parking is available in front of the Recreation Lodge.
11. Can I bring a date?
We want to celebrate with our nearest and dearest. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
12. When is the RSVP deadline?
The RSVP deadline is July 5th, 2024. Please fill out the RSVP form located on our website.
13. Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food and drinks?
An Indian/American buffet will be served at the reception. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.

14. Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?
All of our food will be vegetarian.
15. Where are you registered?
We are registered at Amazon, Esty, and Honeyfund. Our registries can be accessed through the 'registry' tab on our website.
16. Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?
Transportation will not be provided by the couple.
17. May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?
Please do not take centerpieces, candles, or flowers home as a souvenir. We will leave favors for guests on each place setting at the tables.
18. Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?
Yes, but please be mindful of the professional photographers at our event! Please do not be in the way of the professionals while you take your own photos. We encourage guests to post their pictures onto their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #stokescelebration so we can keep track of all of your pictures. Please feel free to send us photos directly as well!
19. Will you have a send-off? What will I throw?
Our big send-off moment will happen when we walk back down the aisle after the ceremony. Flower petals will be provided for guests to throw.
20. Where can I suggest a song for the reception?
Song requests can be entered into the provided question box when RSVPing to the Wedding Day event.
21. Will there be any activities to entertain children?
Yes! We will have a coloring station set up inside of the recreation lodge for children to use.
22. I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?
