As much as we would have enjoyed having everyone at a wedding, we decided to elope. It was a private ceremony with only us two. We exchanged vows at the Annapolis courthouse on May 27th, 2025.

Due to the short time period between Miguel’s graduation from the United States Naval Academy and moving across the US there was not a large window of time to have a wedding. We will need to report to Monterey California on June 30th of 2025. This meant we have to have Miguel's USNA graduation, get married, go on a honeymoon, pack up our home and move across country all in less than a 1 month timeline. We have prayed about it a lot and decided that it is not about a wedding, it is about a long term commitment to each other and God. We have been together for almost 8 years and we were ready to make it official. Miguel graduated on a Friday and we got married the following Tuesday.

We will be spending our Honeymoon in Alaska. We will be hiking in Denali National Park, Whale Watching and going on a Glacier Tour for our honeymoon. We both love hiking and going to National Parks, this gives us the opportunity to go somewhere we know we will never be stationed and see the beauty of Alaska, a place we both have been wanting to visit.

Miguel was selected to become a Naval Aviator. However, he will be completing a 1 year masters program in Monterey California starting June 30th 2025. After that he has received orders to report to Pensacola, FL for flight school in early 2026. We will be spending a year in California and 1-2 years in Pensacola, FL after that it is up to the military. Miguel has been stationed in Lemoore CA, Providence RI, Annapolis MD and will be back on the west coast in Monterey CA.

We understand that eloping is a nontraditional way to get married. We are extremely grateful for everyone's support and love during this time. Miguel and I already live together and have most of what we need. Please do not feel like you have to give us a gift. Miguel and I want to say Thank You to every single person over the last seven years that has offered their time and support to us. We really could not have made it this far without the help and community of those around us. No matter where we go we are reminded how small the world is and how good people are. It has been a journey and we are eternally grateful for God blessing us with a kind community and people in our lives. From the deepest parts of our heart, Thank you!
