We are huge Lord of the Rings fans. Miguel quotes the Books and Movies often in conversation, he also makes great Lembas Bread.

We are both avid readers and have a combined 300+ books. We hope to one day have a small library in our home. Our poor 9 foot bookcase is overflowing. Books are placed on it however they can fit. Miguel is on book 5 and Callie on book 8 of 2025.

In the last 7 years we have driven over 25,000 miles in the car together. That is around 417 hours driving. Trips including California to Rhode Island, Rhode Island to Alabama, and Alabama to Maryland and back multiple times.

We are always down for Texas Road House or Sushi. We hardly ever choose any other restaurant.

Callie was the one who asked Miguel for his number and prompted to date. Miguel turned Callie's dating idea down a couple of times before he agreed to long distance dating. She called Miguel "the hot guy" at their shared workplace - California Dreaming.

We both love going to Antique stores. Although we are always scared to accidently bring something haunted home. Our home is full of thrifted and antique items.

We are both lovers of Science. Callie loves Biology and Chemistry, while Miguel loves Physics and Aerodynamics. Ask Miguel about his favorite museum Udvar-Hazy.

We both love tea and coffee. We have a drip coffee machine, an espresso maker, a French Press and a cold Brew Container. Callie likes iced coffee with milk and Miguel drinks his coffee Black.

We both love fishing but we are not very good at it. We catch more sticks than fish but we still love being on the water.

You will hardly ever catch us out past 10pm. Callie falls asleep and Miguel becomes grumpy after 9:30 so we are normally in bed by 10pm.

Miguel named Callie's Dog, Sypha, after one of his favorite characters on Castlevania. Callie named Miguel's dog, Iroh, after one of her favorite shows Avatar the Last Airbender. It is a running joke that both of us picked each others dogs name.

Our freezer always has a tub of mint chocolate chip ice cream in it. It is both of our all time favorite flavors.

Both of us HATE tomatoes . Callie will purée any salsa or tomato sauce to prevent from biting down on any piece of a tomato.

We were together for over 7 years before getting married.

We both love horror movies and are huge critics. We are quick to point out flaws and plot holes . One of our favorite horror films is Creep.

We love Studio Ghibli films . Spirited Away , Boy and the Heron, Howls Moving Castle & Princess Mononoke are our favorites.

We pray we are one day Stationed in Japan as it is on our bucket list to live there for a year or two .

We are not a good couple to watch television shows or movies with because we pause and rewind them a LOT to discuss details and characters . Miguel is great at pointing out little details shows include as Easter eggs.

Miguel always picks video games he thinks Callie will enjoy watching. We sit together and talk bout the lore and gameplay as Miguel plays. Callie was mad when Miguel completed Hollow Night without her.

Miguel loves Golf and Callie is a Tennis player.
