There are so many gorgeous trails in San Luis Obispo. Hiking Bishop's Peak, Madonna, or Cal Poly's 'P' are all great, nearby options. Hike all three in one-day and end with a Tri-Tip sandwich to complete the Cal Poly Tri-Tip Challenge!
Don't worry - Hiking one still justifies a visit to Firestone!
Downtown Slo is great day or night!
During the day, start off at Scout Coffee Co, enjoy shopping on Higuera street, and end with a late-lunch at Big Sky Cafe or Eureka Burger.
During the night, enjoy dinner at Giuseppe's, Luna Red, or Novo. Afterwards, checkout Bull's Tavern for a sticky-floor dive bar (bonus points if you take a Bull Sweat!), Barrel House Brewing for a speakeasy taproom, or Sidecar for swanky cocktails.
The beer festival in this photo only happens once a year, but Libertine Brewing Company is walking distance to downtown and home to Erin's favorite 'Tot-Chos'!
Ah, where to begin! San Luis Obispo has incredible wineries - that we didn't take full advantage of as college students (classic).
The Edna Valley region is closest to downtown and easy to get to by Uber or car. We love Biddle Ranch and Baileyana for tastings, but you can't go wrong! Check out the linked guide for additional details on where to explore.
Erin loves Sally Loo's Wholesome Cafe, but Camden would opt for Bon Temps Creole Cafe. The good news? They're right across the street from one another - try them both!
In our (unbiased) opinion, Cal Poly has the best campus! Schedule a free tour or explore the campus self-guided.
Make sure to check out the architecture building (home to Erin's all-nighters), the Sierra Madre dorms (where Camden and Erin first met), and the business building (where Camden excel-ed).
Drive or Uber to Avila beach, walk the pier, and enjoy lunch at Mr. Rick's.
If it's warm enough, lay out and get a pre-wedding tan!
If you have a free night, we highly recommend watching a sunset from Terrace Hill. Grab a sandwich and bevvy from Lincoln Deli, endure a 10-minute hike, and enjoy the vista!
Feeling adventurous? Rent ATVs and spend the afternoon at the Pismo Beach Sand Dunes. We recommend reserving your equipment in advance.
