When do I need to RSVP by?
The RSVP deadline is September 19th. The earlier you RSVP the easier it is for us, thank you!
What do I wear?
The dress code for our wedding is dressy casual. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will be held indoors. We ask that you please do not wear jeans. Also keep in mind that the ceremony will be held in a garden, and you will have to walk across the grass. We suggest the following attire:
Women: Sundress, Casual dress, Pantsuit, Jumpsuit, comfortable shoes
Men: Khakis, Dress slacks, button-up shirt, polo shirt, etc
What will the wedding party be wearing?
The bridesmaids will be wearing sage green and eucalyptus dresses and the groomsmen will be wearing grey suits with ties to match the beautiful bridesmaids!
What's for dinner?
We are having Mexican food! There will be a taco bar with gluten-free and vegetarian options. We will also have gluten-free desserts. If you have additional dietary restrictions please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
When should I arrive?
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4 PM. Seating for the ceremony will open at 3:30 PM. Please find a seat by 3:50 PM in order to allow to ceremony to begin. Additionally, the ceremony is taking place at the beautiful Dubuque Arboretum which is open to the public. Feel free to arrive early to walk through the various gardens and enjoy the space.
Where do I stay?
We have reserved a hotel block at Comfort Inn Dyersville Near Field of Dreams (527 16th Ave SE, Dyersville, IA 52040). To reserve in our block please call the hotel, select option #2 for the front desk, and use the block code "Scholl-Coles Wedding". This hotel is located 30 minutes away from the ceremony location and 10 minutes away from the reception location. If you wish to stay elsewhere there are several hotels in both Dyersville and Dubuque.
I don't like to dance, what will I do?
We will have an assortment of board games set up at the wedding reception for all guests to enjoy! There will be variety of kids games, party games, and some of our favorite games. We do ask that the uno games do not get overly heated right away :)
Is there transportation between the ceremony and reception location?
There will not be any transportation provided between the ceremony and the reception. It is about a 30-minute drive so please be prepared. There is plenty of parking available at both locations. We ask that guests go directly from the ceremony to the reception so the party can start!
Can I bring a guest, date, or children?
When filling out your RSVP form on our website your party will indicate who is invited, including guests or children. While we wish we could include everyone on our wedding day space is limited. Thank you for your understanding!
