Our paths crossed in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires, Argentina, thanks to our "mutual friend" Ignacio. Camila was there on a work trip, while Timothy was visiting Ignacio before embarking on his diplomatic career. This photo was taken in Uptown—a special spot that the connoisseurs among you might recognize.

After dreaming of exploring Europe for years, Camila finally had the perfect excuse to make her wish come true. Reuniting with Timothy in the romantic streets of Paris was just the beginning of her European adventure, and a beautiful new chapter in our love story.

Fate tested our bond early when Camila's second visit to Belgium coincided with the WHO's declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic. We treasured a final weekend getaway to Le Touquet (St-Cec) before President Macron announced lockdown measures. Soon after, Camila had to return to Colombia earlier than planned, and our hearts endured an eight-month separation. Despite the distance, our love only grew stronger.

After eight months of daily video calls enduring the pandemic, our separation finally ended when we reunited in Colombia (Timothy's third visit to the country). Together, we explored Colombia's fascinating landscapes and hidden treasures. All along, Camila had a plan brewing—she knew she wanted to bring Timothy to Bogotá, a city that would soon become significant in our journey together.

Camila then took a new job that allowed her to work remotely—opening new possibilities for our relationship. This opportunity brought her to Cameroon twice for extended stays of two and a half months each, where our bond grew even stronger. During these visits, she began to experience the rhythms of expatriate life and fell in love with the vibrant energy of Africa.

After establishing ourselves comfortably in Colombia, as you can see in the photo above, we took the opportunity to embark on a European adventure, including a visit to London. Every journey together brought beautiful new discoveries and memories.

Timothy guided Camila to the summit of her first mountain. While the moment wasn't quite right for a marriage proposal (difficult to speak with breath taken away at 4,800 meters elevation!), patience would soon reward these lovebirds as they prepared to commit to each other for life.

Timothy didn't end up with a knee on the ground, but rather a knee in the sky when he asked Camila if she would spend the rest of her days with him. After initially mishearing him through the microphone (and not quite believing it), she finally accepted with emotion. The pilot, disappointed not to have been let in on the plan, promised the lovebirds a loop-the-loop on their next flight.
