Our celebration will take place at Casa Hacienda de Fagua, a beautiful colonial house located in Cajicá, a town approximately 45 minutes north of Bogotá, Colombia.
International Guests:
Fly into El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Bogotá. From there, you can reach your hotel by taxi, Uber, or airport transfer service.
Please ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned departure date from Colombia. For visa requirements, check if your nationality requires a visa by visiting Colombia's official immigration website: https://www.migracioncolombia.gov.co/en or contacting your nearest Colombian consulate.
Getting to the Wedding Venue:
1. Bus Transportation: We will arrange bus service from central Bogotá to Casa Hacienda de Fagua and back for those traveling from afar who would like to use this service. Pickup locations and times will be provided closer to the date.
2. By Car: The venue address is: Casa Hacienda de Fagua Km 5 Vía Cajicá - Tabio Cajicá, Cundinamarca, Colombia
Navigation Tips:
1. Use Waze or Google Maps and search for "Casa Hacienda De Fagua"
2. Select the option that appears as "Hacienda Fagua"
3. Important: Make sure the route takes you through Cajicá-Tabio road. If your navigation suggests entering through Chía, this is incorrect. The only access is via the Cajicá-Tabio road.
Parking is available on-site for those who prefer to drive. For your convenience, we will provide a service of "designated drivers" ("ángeles") who can drive you and your car back to Bogotá after the celebration for a nominal fee.
Note: If you plan to drive, remember that traffic can be heavy when leaving Bogotá, so please allow extra time.
Weather & Altitude:
- Altitude: Bogotá is at 2,640m - take it easy the first few days to adjust to the altitude.
- Weather can change quickly - pack layers and rain protection.
-UV radiation is strong due to the high altitude - bring sunscreen and a hat even on cloudy days.
-Cajicá's weather in August can be cool, especially in the evening.
Transportation & Safety:
- Transportation: We recommend using Uber for comfortable and reliable transportation around the city - it works very well in Bogotá and offers the best service.
- Safety: Tourist areas are generally safe, especially in the recommended neighborhoods, but as in any major city, take normal precautions, particularly at night. We recommend using Uber for evening transportation.
Practical Information:
- Power: Colombia uses 110V, type A/B plugs.
- Currency: Local currency is Colombian Peso (COP). Credit cards are widely accepted, but have some cash for taxis and small purchases.
