The heart of Downtown Pensacola, just a 15 minute drive from Pensacola Beach, where Camila and Ben spend most of their free time. Enjoy the shopping, restaurants, and bars of this beautiful walkable area.
Some of the couple's favorite things to do are grab a cup of coffee at Maker's, drinks at 200 South, brunch at Wine Bar or Dog House Deli, shop at Rusted Arrow, and a night cap at B-Sides. Keep an eye out for musical performances at Vinyl.
Best seafood on the beach. Camila and Ben frequent this restaurant for their grouper sandwiches and crab claws. They do not take reservations, estimated wait times are typically longer than the actual wait. Go downstairs to the bar or across the street to the beach while you wait for your table.
Ben's favorite restaurant located downtown Pensacola (15 min from beach), a craft southern pub with great craft cocktails. Start off with the Frito pie, pimento cheese puffs, and boiled peanuts. Ben claims the UPH burger to be the best in Pensacola, but also enjoys the Nashville hot chicken sandwich when feeling frisky (very spicy). If you're real hungry, order the pork shank. Check online or call ahead for reservations. Not always required.
After UPH, be sure to walk next door to The Well for a cocktail, Perfect Plain for a local brew, or check out Garden & Grain out back (all 3 are connected). B-Sides is across the street and features the best bartender in Pensacola, Ryan Barnes.
Camila's favorite spot, and also where Ben popped the question. Enjoy some tapas and a glass of wine on this waterfront restaurant in downtown Pensacola.
The National Naval Aviation Museum is the world’s largest Naval Aviation museum and one of the most-visited museums in the state of Florida. Share the excitement of Naval Aviation’s rich history and see more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation. These historic and one-of-a-kind aircraft are displayed both inside the Museum’s over 350,000 square feet of exhibit space and outside on its 37-acre grounds. Open from 9AM to 4PM
One of Camila & Ben's favorite lunch spots after a day on the beach. Ben recommends the bbq shrimp po boy and Camila recommends the muffuletta, both made with bread baked at Gambino's bakery in New Orleans. Make sure to grab a cup of gumbo with a scoop of potato salad. One of the few places that has the couple's favorite beer, Turbo dog. Very casual.
One of the best places on the beach to catch live music and cold drinks. Be sure to try Pensacola's signature drink, "The Bushwacker" with a salted caramel vodka floater. Typically has live music and a great spot for sunsets after a day at the beach.
Tucked behind the RV park, this is a hidden gem of Pensacola beach. A short walk from Paradise Bar and Grill, this spot may be the best place to catch a sunset. You will want to wear flip flops here as it is mostly in the sand.
The best view of the Gulf is at Casino Beach Bar. Try the tuna nachos and grouper Reuben, or just grab a drink and take a walk down to the water.
Yeah, we have one here. Good for iced coffee, but they don't have the food down like we do back home.
