How should we get to the port?

Discussing your options with our cruise consultant Ricky will be the most helpful way to decide on your travel plans. If you live in the area you can be driven to the port, address in the previous question for drop off location. What upgrades should we get on the Cruise?

More at Sea Package - This includes the unlimited open bar drink package, 2-3 meals at specialty restaurants on to boat, 150 minutes wifi on the boat, and excursion credits. If you do nothing else, the More at Sea is more than worth it. Unlimited Wifi - Whether you'll need to get some work done while you're on board or just want to scroll the internet while you have down time we found the upgraded wifi package to be totally worth it on our last trip at sea. Priority Boarding - This allows you to board the ship before anyone else upon check in at the NYC port and disembark the ship before anyone else when we return. Start your vacation as soon as you check in on Day 1 instead of waiting at the port to board the ship. Vibe Pass - This is a quiet area on the boat with hot tubs (no pools), lounge chairs, and a bar. This option is only available for people 18 years of age or older, they restrict this area of the boat to adults only.

Do Not Forget These Items

Your Passport/Other IDYou have to bring your passport/ID with you to get on the boat in NYC and when we get back on after activities in Bermuda, make sure you don't forget it! If you do not have a passport they do allow Original Birth Certificates and Drivers License for identification purposes. Minors are permitted to just use their Original Birth Certificate. CashWhile everything is included on the boat once you step on, we recommend bringing some small bills, or big bills if you want, to tip the workers. You will see how hard they work to make you feel like royalty. Please take care of them weather it be with singles or whatever amount you see fit. You will see how much you appreciate their hard work once you get there. Also bring cash for anything you want to buy at the port or make sure your credit card is able to be used internationally, we will be considered out of the USA when we get to Bermuda. Cell PhonesPlease remember as we mentioned above, if you are coming to Bermuda your cell phone will be considered "roaming" in a different country and international charges will apply unless you keep your phone on airplane mode. You can still use WiFi while on airplane mode which means you can use the internet while on the boat and text on apps like WhatsApp. If you want to keep your cell service active make sure to call your carrier before we go on vacation and pay the upgraded charges for the international plan while we are sailing.

Luggage Options

We were not really very limited when traveling on the boat. They allow you to bring a bag that is 50 lbs and a carry on that can go through a TSA style x-ray machine. They seemed pretty lax when it came to bag weight. We brought our largest suit cases with us, they should fit under your bed in the room once you unpack to allow you more room to move around when in your cabin. We brought backpacks on the boat with us for Day 1, with the below items, just so we could immediately get to enjoying the trip! Once you arrive on the boat your large luggage is taken from you and brought to your designated hallway where your room is located. What Should I Bring?

We are going to try to book a catamaran for a group of people that are interested in going out onto the beautiful Bermuda water for a few hours, swim around, snorkel, take out glass bottom boats, paddle board, or just chill on the water away from the cruise ship. Our favorite local beach in Bermuda, the softest sand, clearest water, and mostly unpopulated beach. Take the free ferry from the port in Bermuda to St George's and get a ride from the drop off point to Clearwater Beach

Clearwater Beach and Turtle Bay

Walk down 83 steps to the Crystal Fantasy Caves exploring on a floating bridge. See the beautiful rock and mineral formations and crystal clear water all lit up underground. Book the Caves and Waves excursion though the cruise line to also be driven to Clearwater Beach after, and then escorted back to the boat on a bus for those on the excursion. You can also get a cab from St. Georges to the Crystal Fantasy Caves at the ferry drop off location and just purchase tickets to the cave, under $40 per person, Take the free ferry from the port in Bermuda to St Georges, 45 minute ride, and then hop in a cab to the Crystal Fantasy Caves.

This man made beach is right off the dock in Bermuda. Grab drinks and spend some time in the beautiful Bermuda water without having to travel to anywhere else on the island.

The most delicious restaurant right off the boat at the port in Bermuda. Anchor Restaurant blew us away, the sushi was out of this world and the local items like Conch Fritters and Fish Balls were outstanding! Definitely recommend grabbing a meal here when we are docked in Bermuda.
