I’ve been blessed to know Candis for over 30 years, since we met at UCSB freshman camp in 1995 and became instant besties. What started as a college friendship turned into a lifelong sisterhood—we’ve been roommates, confidantes, and partners through every season of life. As the godmom to my two kids (aka Ya Ya), Candis has been present for so many of my family’s milestones. And fun fact: I also started the introduction and online conversation between her and Shauntá. I was lucky enough to witness their connection from day one and watch it grow into the beautiful love they share today. Standing beside you as Maid of Honor feels like a full-circle moment. I couldn’t be happier to celebrate this next chapter with these two. Thank you for letting me be part of this magic—now let’s get married!
