To get to the island you can travel by plane or boat from Galway, or by boat from Clare. Once you get to the island, everything is a short walkable distance.

Doolin Ferries Doolin Terminal
The ferry terminal to Inis Oirr is located at Doolin pier, just outside the village. The sailing time is approximately 15mins, each way to Inis Oirr.
This option would be best for people coming from the South of the country.
