Our Wedding

We met at Oklahoma State University in undergrad, but the real beginning of our story happened the day I saw Robby walk out of the infamous Field of Dreams college party house- FOD for the fellow OSU alumni. Something in me just went, "Well.. that's the one". Maybe it was fate. Maybe it was the beer. But it stuck. At the annual end of school year country music festival at OSU (Calf Fry), he asked me to dance. One dance turned into a spark, but then summer came and we went our separate ways for a few months. When we reunited back in Stillwater, OK, it felt effortless- like we were picking up a story that had already been written. The rest was history. From there, life got busy in the best way. We went from OSU vet school while Robby worked in Hobbs, New Mexico to Oakdale, California, where I started my career as an equine veterinarian and surgeon. Eventually, we settled in Manhattan, Kansas as I finish my large animal surgical residency and Robby a successful cattle operations manager at River Creek Farms. The proposal was one for the books. Robby popped the question during a snowstorm in Breckenridge, Colorado.. in a horse-drawn carriage. It was chaotic, freezing, and absolutely perfect. From FOD to our love of hoofed creatures to blizzards, our story has had a little bit of everything. And now we can't wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you!

Recommend to fly into San Antonio or Corpus Christi airport if you are not driving in. San Antonio is located ~1 hour and 15 minutes away while Corpus Christi is located ~45 minutes- 1 hour away from the ranch.

Texas Coast Limousine Service will be providing roundtrip transportation for the two reserved Hotels in Beeville ( La Quinta and Hampton Inn). The Groom’s family staying at Katzfey Ranch will also be provided Texas Coast Limousine Service roundtrip transportation. Wedding Ceremony begins at 6:00 pm under the beautiful HQ pond Mesquite Tree. The Bride and Groom request the favor of your presence to arrive to the Ranch prior to 5:45 pm (ideally 5:00-5:30pm) so you may enjoy a refreshment and music. It is a 20 minute drive from town of Beeville to the ranch, so please plan departure from your hotel accordingly! Shuttle Services will begin at 4:45 pm from the Hotels and the last shuttle will leave the ranch at 12:00am . The shuttles will be running at every 15-20 minute intervals from 4:45pm-12:00AM to each destination to and from the ranch. Your Shuttle Limousine will take you to the Humble House for drop off and a Nostalgic Trolley will drive you through the Ranch to a Welcome Center. The Welcome Center is a short walk to the Ceremony under the Mesquite Tree. Come early and enjoy friends and music. If you prefer to drive please park at the Welcome Center in the field provided behind the open barn. Also known as "The Roller Chopper Barn". Private Cars enter through "The Humble House" front gate and follow the signage to parking area.
