Who says scrolling on an App doesn't work???

Our erratic communication's on POF (Plenty of Fish) has brought us to this point!

A simple 'Meet up', turned into 6 hours of total enjoyment! We laughed and chatted over Kung Pao Cauliflower, and an Impossible Burger (we shared) at the Pour House.

John was early, and I was late.

This encounter, flourished into us becoming weekend companions. We filled our time away from each other with daily calls and texts.

Our dates to Springfield Manor & Winery, Harpers' Ferry, The Muse Paint Bar and Luray Caverns; became the building blocks to our growing relationship.

It helped us to learn, so much more about each other. We had undeniable chemistry!

John refers to me as his 'Best Friend'. I refer to him, as my 'Boy Twin'; because we share so much in common.

FAST FORWARD TO . . .

THE ENGAGEMENT

John was adamant that we have a 'Date Night' prior to me undergoing surgery. He insisted that I get myself dolled up for the occasion. Anyone who knows me; getting dressed up is one of the things I do very well. (LOL)

On Saturday, April 23, 2022 he made reservations for dinner at the 'Royal Tandoor' in Columbia MD. NOTHING stood out about the evening, NO telltale signs. I had no clue of his intentions. At some point in conversation, he discreetly placed a tiny brown box on the table, and casually said; "oh by the way, this is for you". I looked at the little box hesitantly, and I asked, "is this, what I think it is"?

He said, " I don't know, open it up and see". He didn't have to tell me twice. (LOL) I opened it, and there sparkling at me; was a three carat diamond engagement ring .

He went down on his knee, in the presence of several onlookers and ask me to be his wife...and of course I said YES!!!!

To meet someone that you can grow with, and build a healthy wholesome relationship is often a hard find. John, became that someone for me! He is a honest, kind and caring man. I said to his mom once; "He's a good egg"! I am so grateful for his presence, love and support in my life these past three years. I am looking forward to the years to come!

I was afraid I'd never meet someone that I could share so many common interests with, I was looking for someone to help me be a better man. I found that in Carla. She is full of life, caring, and has such a strong love for life. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to spend the rest of my life with her.

Carla, is truly my best friend, my love, and my dream. I believe in my heart, that this is only the beginning of a very spontaneous and happy life together.
