You won’t miss these unique and engaging photo ops! Several colorful oversized chairs can now be found around Rio’s Lakefront. Climb up and snap a photo! Be sure to tag @riolakefront.

Free WiFi

Free WiFi is available throughout Rio. Search for _RIO_FREEWIFI, click to join the network. You’ll be asked to text an access code from your smartphone; please follow the onscreen instructions from there.

Rio offers plenty of complimentary parking. There are four parking garages, conveniently located throughout the center.

The Carousel

The Carousel at rio is presented by Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center.

The Americana-themed classic carousel features 30 Allan Herschell-style dancing horses, whimsical creatures, and two chariots, allowing for up to 38 adults and 30 children passengers, with wheelchair access and chariot wheelchair positions. Located next to the playground.

Admission:

$6 unlimited rides

Adults ride free with a child under 42″

Hours of Operation:

Starting September 10th: Daily, 10 am – 9 pm

Rio Paddle Boats

Dragons, swans, and ducks! The Paddle Boats are located on the Rio boardwalk, near Silver Diner.

Kimo & Fridolin

This whimsical sculpture of Fridolin, the bronze bear, and Kimo, a human size bronze cat, encourages a hunt for missing objects. The bronze animals hold open books that tell a story about their character and that describe six lost items — a pocket watch, hat, suitcase, beehive, Dutch shoes and a bag of popcorn with a bird eating from the bag. Lakeside Path to Wellness

The Lakeside Path to Wellness presented by Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center brings awareness to healthy living within our community. The new lakeside path is approximately 0.9 miles with “Steps to Good Health” tips and mile markers along the path.

Fish Feeders

Fish feeding stations can be found at the gazebo and along the boardwalk. A handful of fish food may be purchased for 25 cents.

AMC Dine-in Cinemas

If you have time for a movie, the Cinema is close by.

The Muse Paint Bar

NO art experience is required! They’ll show you step-by-step how to paint from mixing colors, to how to hold a brush.
