Carli and Paten are staying at Sapphire Beach and building A. Check out the Vrbo and Airbnb links below if you want to stay on the same beach! Choosing where to stay in St. Thomas really comes down to the vibe you want and your budget. Sapphire Beach is the go-to area if you want beautiful water, easy beach access, and more affordable options, especially with VRBOs and condos. It is close to Red Hook, which makes getting to restaurants, bars, and the ferries very convenient. On the other side, Charlotte Amalie and The Westin area are great if you prefer a more traditional resort feel, walkable shops, and being closer to the historic downtown and the airport. Prices here tend to be higher and the area is a bit busier, but it is perfect for guests who like having amenities and structure right at their fingertips. Both areas are safe and tourist friendly. It simply depends on whether you want the relaxed beachside experience or something more resort style with lots to do nearby. You might take note of which parts of the island you want to explore and choose a location close to those areas if you do not plan on renting a car. Taxis charge per person and can be on the expensive side, especially when traveling between different parts of the island. We will choose the wedding day transportation pick up and drop off location after we see which area the majority of guests decide to stay in.

A lot of guests are choosing VRBOs near Sapphire Beach because they’re usually the most cost-friendly option and give you way more space for the price. Some condos are right on the beach, and others are just a short walk away from the sand, the marina, and a few restaurants in the area.You’re also just a quick taxi ride from Red Hook, which has tons of food options, shops, and nightlife. If you want something easy, comfortable, and in a great location without spending resort prices, a VRBO in Sapphire is probably your best bet.

The Westin offers a classic resort experience with beautiful views, a calm beachfront, and plenty of on site amenities. It’s a great option if you want convenience, restaurants and pools right at your hotel, and easy access to Charlotte Amalie. This area tends to be quieter and more resort focused compared to Sapphire Beach, which is more lively and close to bars, beaches, and the ferry to St. John.

Mountain Top Overlook and Banana Daiquiris

Mountain Top is one of the most famous viewpoints in St. Thomas, offering panoramic, postcard perfect views of Magens Bay and the surrounding islands. It’s an easy stop with a massive gift shop, photo spots, and their world famous banana daiquiris that visitors rave about. It’s touristy, but the views alone make it worth the trip, and it’s a fun, quick stop while exploring the North Side of the island.

Night Kayaking in St. Thomas Night kayaking is a unique way to see marine life after dark using clear-bottom kayaks that glow with LED lights. The lights attract fish, rays, and other sea creatures, giving you a front-row view of what’s happening under the water in real time. It’s great for families, couples, or anyone who wants something different from the usual beach day.You can find night kayaking tours at the St. Thomas Adventure Center located at The Marriott’s Frenchman’s Cove. Tours usually run after sunset and last about an hour.

-Magens BayThe most famous beach on the island. Calm, clear water and a long stretch of soft sand. Great for swimming, relaxing, and renting paddleboards. There is an entrance fee. -Sapphire BeachKnown for bright blue water, breezy conditions, and great snorkeling on the right side near the reef. Beach chairs, water sports, and a beach bar make it an easy all day spot. -Coki BeachOne of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. Clear water, tons of fish, and easy swim in access. Lively atmosphere with music and beach vendors. -Lindquist Beach (Smith Bay Park)Beautiful and quiet with shallow turquoise water and soft white sand. Great for photos, swimming, and relaxing away from crowds. Small entrance fee. -Brewers BayLocal favorite near the university. Calm, clear water and one of the best spots to see sea turtles. Quiet, no vendors, and great for snorkeling.
