How do I book my room?
There is a deposit of $50 per person, or $100 per room, to reserve your room. You can book your room online.
Can I make payments?
Absolutely! After you reserve your room, you will receive an email invoice. Please use the invoice link to make payments at your convenience. All rooms that do not include travel insurance (can be added when you book your room) must be paid in full by January 22, 2026. If you purchase travel insurance through Destination Weddings, 50% of balance is due by January 22 and then the remaining balance will be due on March 24, 2026.
Does this pricing include airfare?
No, it does not.
Does this pricing include transportation from the airport to the hotel and vice versa?
Our travel agent recommends that guests use the private shuttle for their travel to and from the airport. The resort is located approximately 45 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta Airport so a taxi will not be a cheaper option. After you book your room, the travel agent (Maggie Elles with Destination Weddings) will send you an invoice including the cost of the roundtrip shuttle at a cost of $85 per person, per trip. If you do not want to use the private shuttle, you can reply to Maggie and decline this option. If you have any questions, please email melles@destinationweddings.com
When should I book my room?
We recommend booking your room as soon as possible to secure the best rate and room choice. Our room block is available through Destination Weddings, and rooms are limited at both resorts. All guests must be paid in full by January 22, 2026 — unless they purchase travel insurance (the Travel Protection Plan, available with “cancel for any reason” coverage). If you purchase travel insurance, you have until March 24, 2026 to pay for your room in full.
What room categories are available?
We’ve reserved rooms at Secrets Bahia Mita (adults only) and Dreams Bahia Mita (family friendly). Upgraded options such as swim-out rooms and suites are available. Please email melles@destinationweddings.com to request options for upgraded or handicap-accessible rooms.
Are there options for double beds?
Yes, look for rooms called “double” rather than “king”. Note: both resorts limit rooms to triple occupancy, i.e., only three guests are allowed per room.
What about rooms for solo guests?
Solo guests are welcome to book their own rooms. Note: these will be at a higher rate than double occupancy.
What is included in our room rate?
Your stay includes all meals, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), room service, resort activities, non-motorized water sports, entertainment, and taxes. Tips are included but always appreciated for great service. Your room rate does not include transportation to and from the resort, spa treatments, or outside excursions.
Can we book outside of the hotel?
We’ve made arrangements for a small number of guests to stay off-site, but at least 80% of our guests must stay within the Secrets and Dreams Bahia Mita complex to meet our wedding requirements.
How many nights should I book for?
Our room block requires that you book for three nights minimum. We recommend that you reserve your accommodations for June 12 to 15 so you can enjoy our other wedding festivities. Our room block is available for any dates between June 10 to June 21 if you would like to extend your stay.
Is it safe to travel to Punta de Mita?
Yes. Punta de Mita is a peaceful resort area about 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. The resort is gated, professionally secured, and in a destination popular with international travelers year-round.
Can I bring my kids?
Children are welcome at Dreams Bahia Mita. Secrets Bahia Mita is adults only. Both resorts share access to most restaurants and amenities. If you are planning to bring your children to any wedding events, please let us know in advance because they are priced differently.
What is the weather like?
Expect warm, tropical (read: humid) days and comfortable evenings with ocean breezes. Average highs are in the mid-80s °F.
What should I wear?
For non-wedding events, we recommend "resort casual" wear. For the wedding, we request "tropical formal". The wedding will be held at the Dreams Bahia Mita Garden. Dress for a formal evening with a warm weather twist. Think lightweight suits or elegant dresses in breathable fabrics with footwear that will not sink into the grass.
How can I contact you if I have more questions?
You're always welcome to contact us via phone but we are also using email (carloslilyituarte@gmail.com) for wedding items. We will also be sending mass text messages via The Knot to our guests with any updates.
