Carly and Kevin met during their freshman year at Virginia Tech. They reconnected senior year and bonded over their love of Hokie Football and animals. In May 2018, Carly moved back to Northern Virginia while Kevin finished up his last semester. They decided to keep in touch and date long-distance until Kevin moved to DC in January 2019 for a job (and love!).

Surprising Carly is no easy feat, but somehow Kevin was able to pull it off. As they do every fall, Carly and Kevin planned to visit Blacksburg for a Virginia Tech football game. This was even more special because Carly's family (and beloved doggies) were making the drive from Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Kevin convinced Carly to take the dogs for a walk in a beautiful local park. It was there that he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, with the support of Cooper and Abby.

They returned to the Osborne's house to find a surprise engagement party with friends, family, and surprise out-of-town guests.
