Maddy is Carly's identical twin sister an "wombmate". Maddy and Carly have navigated almost every milestone together and even lived together all throughout college. While the year spend living in a shoebox dorm room was a true test of their relationship, Carly considers Maddy not just her sister, but her best friend. Maddy can often predict Carly's opinions and feelings (even though twin telepathy isn't real). one of the things Carly loves about being a twin is sharing a birthday and celebrating with Maddy every year. She can't wait for the day Maddy, a pilot, can fly them around the world.
Connor Osborne - Best Man
Connor Osborne has been like a brother to Kevin ever since the day of his birth. Throughout their childhood Kevin and Connor spent countless hours camping, working for Dad, and finding the coolest fishing spots along Stroubles Creek. The two took turns leaching off of each other’s college experience, first by Connor attending Kevin’s fraternity tailgates as a high schooler, then by Kevin attending Connor’s fraternity tailgates after graduating. In recent years Kevin has hosted Connor in Northern Virginia to see comedy shows and tour Washington D.C, while Connor has returned the favor by taking Kevin fishing on the New River in his boat and serving as the best man in Kevin and Carly’s wedding
Natalie Beden - Bridesmaid
Carly and Natalie met shortly after joining Pi Beta Phi their freshman year at Virginia Tech after being set up on a “friend date” by a mutual friend. They instantly connected through their shared sense of humor, interests, and academic goals. When Carly looks back on some of favorite memories from college, Natalie was almost always by her side - getting ready for events together, watching movies at the Pi Phi House, and fun nights out in Blacksburg. After Natalie moved to New York post-grad, Carly continues to frequently visit Natalie and create more memories. Carly attributes Natalie’s caring nature and loyalty to the success of their long-distance friendship.
Wiatt Bingley - Groomsman
Wiatt Bingley and Kevin were introduced at a young age due to their parents being friends. The two have spent countless family vacations together, enjoying the finer aspects of playing Pokémon at the beach, snorkeling in the river at Watoga State Park, and creating parodies of Lonely Island parodies. Wiatt and Kevin also have a rich history as business partners, including countless summers landscaping for Dad, countless winters shoveling snow for Dad, late nights working as online Math Tutors for Yup (formerly MathCrunch), a brief stint as servers at Gauchos before Kevin was encouraged to seek other employment opportunities, and a summer where Wiatt was an intern at Kevin’s consulting firm. After college, Wiatt conveniently moved to Washington D.C., which provided the perfect environment for him and Kevin to play pickup basketball, visit local bars, see Felly in concert, and watch every single NFL Conference Championship game together.
Ava Gebel - Bridesmaid
Ava and Carly met their very first day at Chantilly High School in History class but did not become close friends until their schedules intertwined again in Pre-Calculus their Junior year. Their paths crossed again after Ava transferred to Virginia Tech and unofficially moved in to Carly, Maddy, and Natalie’s apartment. Ava is also credited with creating a successful book club, running over three years! Carly loves Ava’s baking skills, willingness to drive her around, commitment to planning group outings, and beautiful laugh.
Jack Hale - Groomsman
Jack Hale and Kevin first became friends in High School as teammates on the Blacksburg Bruins JV Basketball squad and as classmates in Sophomore non-honors Biology. After spending time eating Taco Bell, building forts, working for Dad, and playing Varsity basketball in their upperclassman years at Blacksburg High School, the two would attend Virginia Tech together, ultimately living under the same lease for 3 years. Jack has always been Kevin’s right-hand man when something needed to get done, whether that be setting up for a campout, loading up the boat, or preparing for the bachelor party. While Jack lives in Blacksburg these days, the two are almost guaranteed to meet up whenever Kevin comes back to town.
Dana Mouritzen - Bridesmaid
Carly and Dana met during their time in Pi Beta Phi at Virginia Tech. They shared many fun memories in Blacksburg with their Pi Phi sisters. However, their friendship strengthened after deciding to live together in Arlington. Apartment hunting during COVID was not easy, but Dana and Carly were able to find a beautiful apartment to share for two years. Some of Carly’s favorite memories of this time include sharing their love of cooking together, Bravo marathons, hosting parties for their friends, and enjoying many laughs from their tiny couch. Dana is Carly’s go-to friend for advice from what outfit to wear to how to respond to an email.
Rohan Kumar - Groomsman
Rohan Kumar and Kevin first became friends in Mrs. Reyna’s 8th grade Spanish class, where confusion between a quiz and a worksheet resulted in the two no longer getting to sit together. They powered through this misunderstanding and thanks to Rohan’s wealth of expertise in weightlifting, the two become some of the strongest students at Blacksburg High School. Kevin, Ryan Mowrey, and Rohan almost pulled off one of the greatest senior pranks, but it wasn’t meant to be. While Rohan elected to go to college at the University of Virginia, he invited Kevin up to visit frequently, resulting in fourteen total trips. After college, Kevin and Rohan found themselves both in New York City on Kevin’s 4th day of employment and they learned just how tall buildings can be. While Rohan now lives in NYC, the two still routinely cross paths in Blacksburg, Washington DC, and the Big Apple.
Kim Prince - Bridesmaid
Though they are unsure when they officially met, Carly and Kim formed a close bond through their mutual friends at Virginia Tech. After graduation, Carly and Kim navigated the beginnings of post-grad life in Northern Virginia where they were often found at their favorite nail salon or a local restaurant. Carly loves Kim’s loyalty to her family, generosity, and commitment to finish the assigned reading up until the minute the book club meeting begins.
Ryan Mowrey - Groomsman
Ryan Mowrey and Kevin first became acquainted in Middle School during a Seeds summer camp trip to Florida. In High School their friendship grew through mutual English and History classes, as well as Kevin’s brief stint on the Speech and Debate team. In 2014 Ryan made the life altering decision to not attend Virginia Tech instead of South Carolina. This began an 8-year stretch where Kevin and Ryan lived under the same roof for 6 and a half years, became brothers in the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and eventually found themselves living together in Washington DC as recent college graduates. Kevin and Ryan passed the time during 2020 Covid-19 lockdowns catfishing in DC, playing Fortnite and 2k2 in their dual TV living room, hosting small gatherings, and occasionally learning how to play songs on the Banjo and Guitar.
Laura Salt - Bridesmaid
Laura and Carly can thank Dana for their friendship! During their time living in Arlington together, Dana introduced Carly to her childhood friend Laura and the rest is history! Living within walking distance of each other allowed Carly and Laura to synch up their routines to attend SPENGA group fitness classes together several times a week. Carly loves Laura’s upbeat personality, love of animals, and willingness to share her closet during fashion emergencies.
Andrew Roberson - Groomsman
Andrew Roberson and Kevin met when Andrew’s family moved to Mount Vernon Lane, just a few houses down from Kevin. Andrew and Kevin had a childhood full of playing front-yard football, side-yard baseball, and full contact basketball with and/or against their younger brothers. They also shared a mutual admiration for Virginia Tech football, basketball, and baseball, which resulted in countless trips with their fathers to see the Hokies play in Jacksonville, Atlanta, Charlotte, Richmond, and Winston-Salem. In what can almost be considered a perquisite for Kevin’s groomsmen, Andrew also spent a summer and several winters with Kevin working for Dad. Even though Andrew is almost 3 years younger than Kevin, his outgoing personality, confidence, and ability to talk to grown-ups is something Kevin has always tried to mirror. While Andrew calls Virginia Beach home these days, the two still get to spend quality time attending the occasional Felly concert in Washington D.C., playing video games at night, and awaiting the second coming of Hokie athletics.
