Lovely city to explore for the day! One of our favorite towns to wander through, although it is getting a bit more touristy. Tons of great food and beautiful views - sunrise or sunset are fantastic as is the lit up beach at night.
Visit this village, famous for its unique conical-roofed "Trulli" homes. You can see it all in an hour or so. Gets very busy and hot in the middle of the day, but worth a trip.
Another favorite town with some of the best food we've had in Puglia here! Catching a sunset from the top of town is incredible. Our favorite restaurants in and around Ostuni:
- Trattoria il Cortiletto
- Osteria Piazzetta Cattedrale (reservation needed)
- Spessite
Check out the Michelin guide for more options or just stumble into a place!
Beautiful town on the coast. We chartered a sailboat out of here on the day we got engaged! Plenty of bars to watch the sunset from - our first cocktail as an engaged couple was at the one with the yellow awnings!
Restaurants near Otranto
- Origano Osteria
More of a history and culture stop. We spent a night here and enjoyed wandering around the various piazzas. Horsemeat is the specialty... though we always recommend cheese tasting as crowd pleaser (unless you're vegan)
More to come here!
