Assuming you're leaving from Manhattan:

It is about a 2.5 hr drive to Ashokan from Manhattan. Google should get you there!

If you prefer written directions: you can take the NY State Thruway (1-87) to Kingston exit #19. Leave traffic circle on Route 28 West (toward Pine Hill). In 12 miles turn left onto Reservoir Rd. Cross the Ashokan Reservoir, turn left at “T”. Bear right down the hill past the first left turn (Rt 28A East) and merge onto 28A West. Go 1/4 mile & turn left onto Beaverkill Road. Go 1 mile then turn right into the the Ashokan Center driveway & follow signs.

You have several options if you are arriving by air!

Albany International is the closest major airport, about 1.5 hours/75 miles from The Ashokan Center. It is smaller & less of a hassle than NYC airports but you may have fewer options in terms of flights. From Albany, you can rent a car . Alternatively, you can go to the Albany bus station (34 Hamilton Street) and can take a bus to Kingston, where most of the hotels are.

You can also fly into NYC and rent a car from there. If you are doing that, we recommend flying into Newark Liberty International Airport. From there, it is about a 2.5 hours/115 miles drive to Ashokan. Info can be found here.

You can also fly into either La Guardia or JFK but they may be a slightly longer drive to Ashokan.

While there's no direct bus or train route to Ashokan from Manhattan, you can take a bus to Kingston:

From the Port Authority Bus terminal in Manhattan, you can take a Trailways bus to Kingston. This takes about 2 hours. If you are staying in Ashokan, you can take a taxi from there. If you're staying in Kingston, there will be shuttles to the wedding.
