We will get the party started Friday evening with a welcome BBQ, and you're welcome to stay until Sunday morning: the center will be available to everyone to enjoy until then! We'd love to have you for the entire weekend or just for Saturday!
Will there be stuff for me to do on Saturday before the wedding?
Oh you know it! The Ashokan Center is a summer camp and we're going to lean into that theme. There'll be kayaks and blacksmithing and archery during the day. We'll have the full details on the timelines and activities up soon!
Where do I stay?
Please check the "Where to stay" tab where we discuss various options.
In short, there's places to stay at Ashokan or nearby hotels in Kingston. We'll offer shuttles to and from two hotels in Kingston. You're also welcome to find an Airbnb somewhere nearby!
How do I get to the Ashokan Center from my hotel/Airbnb/etc?
The beauty of staying at the Ashokan Center is that you're already there! But we know that rustic bunkbeds aren't for everyone. So, we are also going to have shuttles from a couple of hotels in Kingston.
If you're coming in from elsewhere, there's parking available at Ashokan. Please know that there is really poor cell reception in Ashokan, so if you're going to make arrangements to get picked up by a car service, you should do that before!
What do I wear?
The Friday welcome barbecue is outdoors and the dress code is casual! Wear what makes you happy. Jeans are totally fine but festive attire (khakis, sundresses, etc) is very welcome!
On Saturday, the dress code is semi-formal/cocktail. The ceremony will be outdoors (fingers crossed) and the reception indoors.
We'd love for people to dress up a little bit! Dresses, nice slacks, etc. Ties totally optional. Because some stuff is outside, be sure to wear shoes you can walk outside in!
What's the weather going to be like?
Oh, if only we knew! Generally, Olivebridge in late September has highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s. But honestly, who knows. We have an indoor game plan if it rains.
When & how do I RSVP?
Please RSVP on our wedding website by March 1st 2024. No worries at all if you need more time! Just let us know.
Are kids welcome?
You are welcome to bring them! Just let us know in the RSVP (and ages, please).
We'll try to organize some kid-friendly, age-appropriate events prior to the ceremony.
