It all began on December 17th, 2021, in the good ol’ city of Shamokin, PA.

Carly had planned to meet up with a Hinge date—typical modern love story—but her plans changed when a friend invited her to Shamokin instead. She arrived at Sarah and Taco’s house, walked in, and saw a hunk of a man sitting at the barstool. Taco introduced him as “Martin,” and Carly immediately thought, Wait... isn’t Martin married? So she carried on with her night, thinking nothing of it.

Little did she know, that “Martin” was actually Kyle—and the married Martin she was thinking of was Kyle’s younger brother, Cory.

As the evening went on, Kyle and Carly ended up at the infamous Home Plate bar, where Kyle never left her side. He kept the Miller Lites coming and did NOT let her win at darts. On the ride back to her friend’s, Kyle asked for Carly’s number—but she played hard to get and took his instead.

The next day? Carly didn’t text him. But Kyle couldn’t stop thinking about her and made it his mission to find her number anyway. And once they started talking, they never stopped. Texts turned into dates, and before long, they were inseparable.

Though Carly didn’t believe in love at first sight, it only took about 72 hours (and one emotional shower) for her to cry and thank God for finally sending her a good man.

They moved in together in November 2022 and began building a life filled with laughter, love, and endless house projects. On April 20th, 2024, Kyle got down on one knee and proposed.

Over the past three years, they’ve traveled together, danced at concerts, raised their three beloved fur babies—Marve, Mellie, and Milo—and turned their house into a home. Now, they can’t wait to begin the next chapter as husband and wife, surrounded by the people they love most.
