Do I need a passport?
YES! You will need a passport to travel to the Dominican Republic.
Is the wedding outside?
Yes, as the sun will be shining (hopefully) both the ceremony and reception will be outside. Please make sure to dress appropriately and keep hydrated throughout the day.
Cocktail hour and the reception are on the Rooftop Terrace on the Ziva side so there will be coverage if it does rain!
what should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you comfortable to the ceremony/reception. Fun, bright colors are encouraged but not necessary. Shoes are optional for the beach ceremony.
Please note that some of the restaurants require a dress code such as Casual Formal, Smart Casual and Casual Elegant.
What will the weather be like?
The weather in the Dominican Republic in May is generally warm and sunny, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to the low 90s. However, it's important to note that May marks the beginning of the wet season, so there is an increased chance of rainfall and higher humidity.
What is included in the price?
This is an all inclusive resort. All alcohol is included and there are 12 restaurants to choose from between Zilara and Ziva side.
Water park and full gym access is included.
There is one restaurant, The Blind Butcher (steak house) that is not included and will be an additional cost.
You can pay to have top shelf liquor if you choose.
Do I need to tip or bring cash?
While most expenses are covered, we recommend bringing cash for tips. Would be best to bring many $1 bills for easy tipping.
Zilara vs Ziva: Which side should I stay?
Zilara is the Adult Only side which is 18+ where the Ziva side is the family side. If you stay on the Zilara side, you can go back and forth between both resorts but children (17 and younger) cannot go to Zilara.

RELAX! Although you will be attending our wedding nuptials, think of this trip as a vacation. Take advantage of the beautiful weather and scenery of the Caribbean. Kyle and I will be there the whole time but there is no set schedule outside of the wedding at this time. For an additional cost, you can partake in a variety of excursions such as snorkeling, fishing, zip-lining, playing golf, off road ATV/dune buggie adventures. Items that are included at the resort are dance classes, paint your own souvenir, yoga, outdoor activities, kayaking, live entertainment, and water park.
