Our Wedding

Carly and Jamison’s story began in Madison, Wisconsin in June, 2018. At Exact Sciences, the pair sat in mirroring cubicles; they spent their days making phone calls with only a divider between them. One day, at a UW-Madison football tailgate, Carly worked up the courage to ask out her officemate. Although they instantly connected, they never could have anticipated the adventure to come. In May of 2019, Carly took a promotion to Hartford, Connecticut. Shortly after, Jamison took a promotion to Atlanta, Georgia. The challenges of a long-distance relationship were only amplified when COVID-19 rocked the country. Despite travel bans, work changes, and one thousand miles between them, Carly and Jamison were pillars of support for one another. They made a pledge to prioritize their relationship, and their unique, yet loving long-distance relationship carried them through the pandemic. By March of 2022, Carly was ready to make a move. She took a job in Atlanta, Georgia and soon moved in with Jamison. In April, the couple adopted Dolly, their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Carly and Jamison had fun exploring Atlanta together; they tried a new restaurant every week, made friends, and built their new life with Dolly. Jamison proposed to Carly on December 26th, 2022. The couple was visiting Carly’s family in Indian River, Michigan. It was the day after Christmas when the couple drove to picturesque Petoskey with Carly’s sister and maid-of-honor, Lindsey. Lindsey had told Carly that she wanted to “take cute photos” for her Instagram. Lindsey took the lead and took a few photos under a beautiful, snow-covered gazebo. After her shots, Carly and Jamison entered the gazebo for their turn. While Carly cluelessly posed for photos, Jamison got down one one knee and proposed. To Carly’s surprise, a photographer leapt out of the bushes; Lindsey had booked a surprise engagement photo session for the couple. Later that night, Jamison drove Carly to the Inn at Bay Harbor, where Jamison’s parents surprised Carly with dinner and champagne. The couples families celebrated together. It was the best day of Carly’s life! Carly and Jamison will be married on May 11th, 2024 and can’t wait to celebrate their marriage at the Piedmont Garden Tent in Atlanta, Georgia. As a guest, you can expect a true “Carly-Jamison” celebration - singing, dancing, and memories to last a lifetime.

We know the importance of a morning cup of Joe! There are several cafes located near guest accommodations, including Allegro Coffee located inside Whole Foods Market (est. 2 min walk), The Bean Counter (est. 8 min walk), and Refuge Coffee (est. 9 min walk). There is also Squeez, a juice bar, located near the Epicurean Hotel (est. 4 min walk). Additionally, there is a coffee/tea maker provided in every Epicurean hotel room. Note: The Starbucks located at 21 14th St NE is temporarily closed, however, there is an open Starbucks located at 1197 Peachtree St NE (est. 9 min walk).

Piedmont Park is a 200+ acre greenspace in the heart of Atlanta hosting over 6 million visitors and hundred of events each year. The park is home to the Piedmont Garden Tent, the venue of the Vaughn-Otto wedding, and marries city skylines with nature's beautiful backdrops.

Georgia Aquarium is located in Downtown Atlanta and contains more than 70 amazing habitats, with thousands of marine animals such as whale sharks (Carly’s favorite), manta rays, beluga whales, and more. Georgia Aquarium was Jamison and Carlys first date in Atlanta.
