We met the way any good millennial couple meets--online! But not Tinder, oh no. We are still nerds at heart and met on Discord. Well...kind of.

The year was 2021, and while Pokémon Go had been out for five years and had largely fallen out of favor for many, two hold outs were still voraciously playing. At the end of November, Carly posted to Discord looking for a trade. She (ashamedly) didn't think much of it when Dustin responded, as she was acquainted with him through a Facebook group and he was one of her first "best friends" in-game. They had done previous trades but had never met in person. A plan was hatched for the trade to take place next time Carly was at her brother's, as he lived in Dustin's neighborhood.

As you know, dear reader, love takes time to blossom, especially when one of the love birds is oblivious to it. But finally in February 2022, our couple met up for the trade. They got to talking and the rest, they say, is history. 💕
