There are SO many activities, restaurants, breweries, etc. in and around the Pittsburgh area. Listed below are some of mine and Sam's favorite places to frequent this time of year. The Strip District, where our hotel and venue are located, is home to a large assortment of international grocery stores and retailers, boutique shops, independent merchants, and many restaurants, breweries and bars. It is extremely walkable - so definitely explore! We also recommend heading over to downtown Pittsburgh, the North Shore and/or Mount Washington for even more fun activities and good food and drinks if you are coming in from out of town!
PNC Park
The Pittsburgh Pirates are in town hosting the Tampa Bay Rays that weekend! Friday night's game features a t-shirt giveaway. If you are a sports fan traveling from out of town and have never been to PNC Park, we HIGHLY recommend catching a game while you're here!
Bigham Tavern
If you're heading up to the Mount Washington overlook, stop by one of mine and Sam's favorite restaurant/bars!
Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar
The original Primanti Bros is located in the Strip District!
Cinderlands Warehouse
There are hundreds of great breweries all around the city. A great one near our hotel and venue is Cinderlands Warehouse in the Strip!
Grist House Craft Brewery
Mine and Sam's favorite brewery in Pittsburgh!
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
Phipps is where Sam and I got engaged in November of 2022. It is a historical glasshouse and botanical garden in Schenley Park, offering 15 acres of plants, sustainability, and education.
