It all began at a party during softball weekend in 2017, at Carroll College. Craig had a friend befriend Carly so he could meet her and get her number. At that time, Carly was clueless of Craig's intentions and thought he was just being nice. She soon found out that he had his eye on her all semester, waiting for the perfect moment to meet her. Carly played hard to get for 3 years, but they remained friends. She eventually gave in and decided to give Craig a chance and she never looked back. Then on one wintery New Years day in Chicago, Illinois, Craig asked Carly to be his girlfriend. They moved in together during the dark days of COVID while she figured out where her next move would be to. She got into medical school in Washington so they did three years of long distance. During this time, Craig bought a home for the two of them in Billings, MT, while he worked as a Project Manager and raised their dog, Koba, and cat, Dante. Carly moved back to Billings to do rotations in May 2024. In September, they planned a trip to go see Colter Wall at Kettlehouse Amphitheatre for Carly's birthday weekend. As Carly was getting ready for the concert, Craig suddenly came in and told her that he was leaving to go get a table for dinner before the concert. She was very confused, since she was only going to be 5 more minutes. Then after about 30 minutes of stalling, she made her way to the venue in the backseat of a friend's car. Then she realized they drove past the venue and pulled into a secluded parking area next to the Blackfoot river. She got out and was guided down a path that led to the river where Craig was standing. He walked her through a trip down memory lane with pictures from when they first met, to every special life event, up until the most recent picture they took. Then Craig got down on one knee and asked Carly to marry him. Now it is time to get married!
