The most common way to get from mainland Massachusetts to the island of Martha's Vineyard is the ferry. The Steamship Authority is just one of many companies that send multiple ferries daily to and from Martha's Vineyard making the trip over easy for all, whether you plan to come for just the day or, for the weekend!

Regardless of where you are beginning your journey, we recommend taking the ferry to Vineyard Haven, which is where all of our wedding events will be taking place.

We also highly recommend doing your research on ferry times, parking options for your vehicle, reservation requirements, etc. well in advance to ensure you are prepared for your travels.

Not planning on brining your own vehicle to the island? No problem! The Martha's Vineyard Transit Authority runs buses all over the island every day. Passes can be pre-purchased or purchased on-site as you board.

If you would prefer your own, personal mode of transportation on the island, but do not wish to bring your own vehicle over, there are ample places across the island to rent a car for a day or the weekend! If you arrive via the ferry to Vineyard Haven, there is a Hertz rental car shack right across from where you will disembark from the ferry. We have linked to the Hertz website below, but please feel free to rent from the company that works best for you!
