We chose a late summer wedding in Minnesota because of how beautiful this time of year is! Some places to enjoy the lovely weather:
-Summit Ave: the street our venue is on has many historic and unique homes and is framed with trees, so it makes for a beautiful walk or drive. It also runs past the University of St. Thomas and straight into the Mississippi River, with awesome views from the bluffs.
-Lake of the Isles: this lake has a 2.7 mile loop walking path and is lined with gorgeous homes.
-The Stone Arch Bridge: Unfortunately, the bridge itself is closed, but the area along the river offers great views of the Mississippi River and nice walking paths. Check out the Mill City Farmer's Market nearby!
Here are some of our favorite spots to eat when we're in Minnesota:
-Bread & Chocolate and Cafe Latte: this pair of bakeries are delicious and located in a very cute area of St. Paul, not far from the hotel.
-Parlour: hands down our favorite burger ever, and the St. Paul location is very close to the hotel.
-Due Focacceria: a cute little shop with focaccia sandwiches, soups, and small charcuterie boards.
-Martina: Argentinean-Italian fusion, lots of delicious pasta choices and cool cocktails.
-Surly Brewing Company: brewery with an awesome outdoor space and amazing pizza.
-The Nook: a Minnesota staple, famous for its Juicy Lucy burger and wings.
-Bar La Grassa: incredible Italian food in North Loop, a neighborhood known for its fun bars and restaurants.
There are TONS of amazing breweries around the Twin Cities, but here are a few of our favorites:
-Bad Weather Brewing Company
-Surly Brewing Co.
-Bauhaus Brew Labs
-Modist Brewing Co.
