Vaccinations

Preparation items BEFORE your flight to Brazil:

1) There are MANDATORY airline requirements needed before you can board your flight to Brazil:

- Everyone must have proof of a negative RT-PCR COVID Test (within 72 hours of your flight) along with a filled out declaration form required by airlines prior to boarding (required for vaccinated AND non-vaccinated individuals).

You must present the following to the airline before boarding:

1) A negative COVID-19 test conforming to the following rules:

a. The COVID-19 test must be a laboratory RT-PCR test for screening for infection by SARS-CoV-2, with a negative/non-reactive result, performed within 72 hours prior to the moment of boarding; or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 24 hours of boarding (learn more here. Refer to "Entry and Exit Requirements for Travel to Brazil" section).

b. You can use this link to find a testing center near you. Click on Brazil, > "Find a testing location" > Enter your zip code to find testing centers. Even if the testing center is listed, it does not mean they offer RT-PCR tests. IT MUST BE A RT-PCR TEST!

2) Traveler’s Health Declaration (DSV) (link here) filled out (in print or digitally) agreeing to sanitary measures that must be complied with during the traveler’s time in Brazil. The form can be obtained by e-mail upon completing the information requested here.

3) Please bring proof of COVID vaccination. On September 1st, the city of Rio enacted a law that you must show proof of vaccination if you wish to visit tourist spots. If you plan to participate in any of the excursions on Thursday or Friday, you must bring the vaccination card with you.
