Explore the beautiful red rocks at Red Rocks amphitheater in Morrison, CO. There are lots of trails to walk around and hike. If you're lucky enough to catch a concert there, we would highly recommend it!
There are tons of hiking trails in Colorado, especially in the Front Range and along I-70. Some of our favorites include a few in Golden Gate State Park outside Golden, Herman Gulch Trail, and Lake Lomond. Check out AllTrails for others!
Wander through the cute downtown area of Golden, CO. There are lots of shops and great restaurants. You can also walk along the Clear Creek Trail, or float down it in inner tubes!
Denver lives up to its expectations with countless breweries throughout the area! RiNo is one of our favorite areas in Denver that has lots of breweries you can walk between. Or, take a tour of the Coors factory in Golden, CO!
Spend some time on the water with great mountain backdrops by renting paddleboards! Chatfield State Park and Cherry Creek State Park both have reservoirs with paddle boarding options as well as many trails throughout the parks that you can walk or bike along. Bear Creek Lake Park is right at the base of the mountains, as well!
One of our favorite summer activities is catching a Rockies game! As one of the few cheap things to do in Denver, nothing beats spending an afternoon or night watching the Rockies. There are lots of restaurants and bars in the area you can walk to before or after the game!
If you're looking for something for a full day or multiple days, check out some of the best mountain towns! Winter Park, Breckenridge, Leadville, and Buena Vista are all within 1.5-3 hours of Denver. They all have great downtown areas to spend time at as well as lots of outdoor activities!
