A beautiful national park with historic monuments and beaches. We especially enjoy the hike along the coast with incredible views ending at the famous Cattle Point lighthouse!

If you like oysters, this is the best spot in the Pacific Northwest! Right around the corner from Roche Harbor, Westcott Bay is an oyster farm with an adorable farm store. We absolutely love having a picnic lunch outside on the tide tables complete with shellfish, fresh bread, wine, and other additions from the farm store. The staff will also teach you how to shuck your own oysters and help you pair them with different sauces and spreads. There are barbecues available on-site for those who prefer cooked oysters!

Casual place for great beer and pub food! We love all of their beers from light lagers to strong Pacific NW IPAs!

Pretty vineyard in a rural valley only a few miles from Roche Harbor. They have great tastings and a fun wrap-around porch overlooking their fields!

One of the best ways to explore the island is through a kayak tour! San Juan Outfitters is a great option for guided tours or rentals and offers lots of options based on experience!

Another incredible state park, closer to Roche Harbor than San Juan Island National Park. This is a favorite whale-watching spot with beautiful hikes through the forest and along the water.

Friday Harbor has a small but cute shopping district complete with plenty of lunch spots, bars, and coffee shops!
