Built in the 1830's Graves Mountain Lodge remains owned and operated by the Graves family, on the banks of the Rose River in Syria, VA(20 min down Rt 231 from Sharp Rock). With homestyle buffet dining, horseback riding, fishing, and apple picking, fall weekends at the lodge can be quite the event. In fact, the weekend of the wedding will be the Apple Harvest Festival with live bluegrass and tradition Appalachian cloggers! Obviously, because of the festival, rooms will book up really early, but it may be fun to check out while you are in the area for the weekend.
