Q + A
When should I RSVP by?
We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!).
Please RSVP by October 5th, using the response card that came in the invitation suit.
Is there a dress code?
We'd love to see you in your favorite formal attire! Evening gowns, jumpsuits, suit jackets and ties are all welcome
Any other special attire notes we should know?
Temperatures tend to dip a bit at night! Since part of the cocktail hour will be outside, you might want to bring a jacket or wrap. However, there will also be ample heaters to help keep guests warm.
Can I bring a date?
In order to keep our guest list on track, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions!
Will transportation be provided?
Transportation will be provided after our ceremony at Immaculate Conception Church to our reception at the DAR.
The easiest way to get to the ceremony and leaving from the reception is through Uber or Lyft! If you book through one of our hotel blocks, you will be walking distance from either the ceremony or the reception.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
Please e-mail us at carolineanddanielshea@gmail.com if you have any dietary restrictions! We are happy to make any accommodations
When should I be at the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3pm. We recommend arriving 30 minutes early to get seated and settled.
Please arrive any time before 2:50 pm!
What are available parking options?
We recommend parking through the hotel you are staying at, or parking garages nearby your hotel in the city.
If you are staying at the Courtyard Marriott Foggy-Bottom hotel block, the venue is a short 8-minute walk away. And, if you are staying at the AC Convention Center hotel block, the church ceremony is an easy 10-minute walk away.
Are kids welcome?
Unfortunately, due to the size restrictions of the DAR O'Bryne Gallery, we are unable to accommodate children. If you would like to bring your children with you to DC, we would be happy to assist with finding childcare, such as trusted friends and colleagues who are available that day. We apologize for the inconvenience but appreciate your understanding!
