A Chance Meeting, A Lifetime Ahead

Landon Gregory Smith was raised in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina. A lifelong numbers guy, he pursued his passion for statistics and analysis by studying Economics and Data Science at NC State. Caroline Lee Liebler grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, where her love for fashion and clothing inspired her to study Fashion and Textile Brand Management at NC State. On November 20, 2022, Caroline and Landon first crossed paths at an NC State fraternity party. What began as a simple introduction soon grew into something unforgettable. Soon after, Landon asked her to his winter formal, and when they reunited for the spring semester, he knew he wanted more than just a few dates. On January 17, 2023, he asked Caroline to be his girlfriend, and from that day on they have been inseparable. When Landon graduated in June and moved to Boston for work, their relationship entered a new chapter with long distance. The time apart only strengthened their bond. On August 8, 2025, during one of Caroline’s visits, Landon led her through the beautiful Asa Gray Garden in Cambridge and asked her to spend forever with him. She said yes, and now they look forward to beginning their next chapter surrounded by the people they love most. Caroline and Landon love traveling to new places, trying new foods and coffee, and exploring together, whether walking through the city or hiking a new trail. They also enjoy reading the same books at the same time and sharing their thoughts as they go! They look forward to beginning each day together and to leaving long distance behind.
