On August 6, 2020, I first saw Jacob. He was in the crowd at our junior prom, wanting to dance with me. I had no idea he thought I was cute, and I was dancing to Party in the USA with my maid of honor, Emma. That night, I had no idea my future fiancé had picked me out from all of girls at the prom.

On December 17, 2020, I hosted a Christmas party for the class of 2021 friends I had made that fall. Jacob and I barely knew each other, but he arrived first at the party. My awkward self held my dog, Buddy, so I would have something to talk about, and Jacob thought he was cute (and that I was cute too!). The screaming game was a hit, and Jacob and I were facing off seeing who could scream loudest. He thought I was funny and always laughed at my jokes, and I loved his lighthearted spirit.

At the Chocolate Ball, Jacob asked me to dance like he had been planning to for weeks. We had been texting every day for over a month, and we hit it off instantly. I was shy, and Jacob gave me butterflies.

Jacob asked me out to go see "Raya and the Last Dragon" at Chenal 9 movie theater for our first date, and we went to the Pinnacle Overlook afterward to watch the sunset. The clouds made sure there was no sunset, so the park was closing and we had no idea! We ran back down the stairs and the mountainside, racing to his car to rush out the gate before it closed. What a crazy day!

On April 9, 2021, Jacob escorted me to our senior prom. We danced the night away, and jumped to our heart's content at the trampoline park after party.

Jacob and I went to the beach with my family right before he left for JBU in north Arkansas. After two years of long-distance and video chatting every day, we got to see each other so much more when he transferred to UALR.

November 27, 2023 was one of my favorite days ever. Jacob took me to the Pinnacle Mountain overlook where we had our first date and got down on one knee to propose! He carved the box and gave me the prettiest ring I had ever seen. It was my pleasure to say yes to being his wife for the rest of my life.
