Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
The ceremony and reception will both be held at The William Aiken House (456 King Street Charleston, SC 29403). Both ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, but guests will have access to the house. If you choose to drive, there is a parking deck located around the corner from the venue (63 Mary Street Charleston, SC 29403).
Is there a dress code?
We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! Dress code is formal attire. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, midi-formal, or short dresses. Gentlemen can wear suit & tie, but no need for tuxedos (unless you're dying to break yours out!).
Can I bring a date?
If your save the date/invitation was addressed to you and a guest, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.
Can we bring children?
We love your kids, we really do! However, due to venue limitations, we respectfully request that you do not bring your children. We encourage you to think of our wedding as a date night away from the kids!
Where should I stay for the weekend?
In order to accommodate all of our guest's various accommodation preferences and budgets, we encourage you to stay at a hotel or Airbnb/VRBO of your choosing in the Charleston area. Please see the Travel tab for more information and recommendations on where to stay.
Will there be transportation?
Our venue is located on Charleston's most famous road - King Street! There are an abundant amount of Ubers/Lyfts available at all times on King Street, therefore we will not be providing transportation. If you choose to stay in downtown Charleston, our venue will more than likely be walkable distance from your hotel/rental.
