Our Wedding

As many of you know, this past year has been a rollercoaster. Christopher an I are so ready to begin our lives after the craziness this world has hurled at us. Most of you have seen on our previous wedding page from last year, that we met in 2020 bow fishing with friends and the beautiful proposal, the new jobs, and all the happiness and butterflies etc. However, life threw us a curveball worse than Nester Cortez last August of 2022. Christopher was diagnosed with Leukemia (AML), and we spent an entire month in the hospital; Soon after his diagnosis we learned that he would need a bone marrow transplant, and began chemo once a month in Nashville, TN. We paused our lives completely in order to keep up with all the doctors appointments, symptoms, and preparation for the transplant, etc. We decided to get married on August 22nd, 2022 and we said our vows on floor 10T3 of Vanderbilt University Medical Center. We both then agreed we wanted to continue with a formal wedding, so we decided to try this whole wedding planning thing once more. They found a possible bone marrow donor December of 2022 and the "unforeseen hand" lifted us up once more. We packed up, moved to Nashville for 4 months and Christopher received his successful bone marrow transplant. It was very successful, and we could not be more grateful. As a newlywed couple, we will continue to face the craziness of life together, with an open mind and heart. We love you all so much, and we are so excited to share this special day with you!

Oh Colby Brown... This man is a complete character. He would give anyone in need the shirt of his back, while also telling you that he can get you the best deal on a field shotgun and why you shouldn't dare use Dewalt tools. He is definitely a man to meet and share hunting stories with.... for hours.

Madalyn has been with me (Caroline) through some pretty crazy situations through college and helped turn me into a more health conscious wine drinker. She is a dog loving, outgoingly organized, one of a kind, teaching, artistically talented, and all knowing wine genius.

They are literally the "salt" of the earth. These two have always checked in and loved Chris and I since we all met. They are both so outgoing, loving, and hilariously in tune with anyone. They know the drill of life and they will always put a smile on your face.

This couple is the GOAL for any other couple out there. They have been through so much together and love each other unconditionally through it all. They are some of the most caring, and whole hearted people you'll ever meet. They just had a beautiful baby girl who's the love of their life.

Dylan is an incredibly smart, funny, gaming, engineer. He enjoys his days on Xbox with Christopher (I'm guessing they enjoy it because that's what they spend all their free time doing). He loves his girlfriend Riva and they are always down to eat at new restaurants. Dylan and Chris have a bond like no other and are not only family, they are the best of friends. 

Cheesy right? That's what I was going for.

The Museum &amp; Event Center is Lincoln County's only public location housing artifacts from the community's history. The museum is located inside the Borden Milk Plant, constructed in 1927, and was donated by the William R. Carter family to serve as a local museum in 1987.
