Q + A

What is the timeline for the day?

Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. at Saint Sebastian's Catholic Church. After the ceremony, you'll have time to check into your hotel and freshen up. Starting at 4:30 p.m., a shuttle will transport guests from the Holiday Inn Express & Suites West Allis to the Boerner Botanical Gardens. The shuttle will make multiple trips until the end of cocktail hour. Cocktail hour begins at 5 p.m., followed by dinner seating at 6 p.m. After dinner, the shuttle will provide return trips to the hotel, running until the reception concludes at midnight.

What’s the best way to get to the church for the ceremony?

Guests are welcome to drive to Saint Sebastian Catholic Church for the ceremony. There’s plenty of parking available in the lot behind the church.

What’s the best way to get to the reception?

Guests have several options for getting to the reception at Boerner Botanical Gardens. If you’d like to drive yourself, Boerner Botanical Gardens offers ample free parking. We’re also providing a shuttle service from the Holiday Inn Express Milwaukee/West Allis. The shuttle will depart shortly before cocktail hour and will continue running throughout cocktail hour to transport guests to the reception. At the end of the evening, the shuttle will make multiple trips to return guests to the hotel. For added convenience, rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are readily available throughout the Milwaukee area.

What is the dress code?

We kindly request that guests dress in cocktail or semi-formal attire for our wedding. For men, this could mean a suit or blazer with dress pants, while women might opt for a floor-length or cocktail dress or a chic jumpsuit. Think polished yet comfortable!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception will be indoors. However, the reception will have an outdoor patio that guests are welcome to enjoy during cocktail hour and dancing.

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration, except for children specifically mentioned on your invitation. This allows us to enjoy an evening of relaxation, fun, and dancing with our closest friends and family. We hope this advance notice gives you plenty of time to arrange childcare and join us for a memorable celebration. Thank you for your understanding!

Can I bring a plus-one?

As much as we’d love to invite everyone with a guest, our wedding is a carefully planned celebration, and due to space limitations, we can not include a plus-one for our guests. We appreciate your understanding and hope you’re able to join us for this special day!
