There are two airports we recommend for traveling to the area.
Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO) is less than 10 miles from town, or about a 20-25 minute drive.
Richmond International Airport (RIC) is about 80 miles from Charlottesville, or about an hour and a half drive.
CHO is a smaller airport with fewer flights, but is a more convenient location for the weekend.
Charlottesville also has an Amtrak train station (CVS) located centrally in town.
While our wedding is located in Crozet, we recommend guests stay in Charlottesville, as Crozet lacks options for accommodations. There is an abundance of hotel options in Charlottesville, so we have listed a few recommended hotels for those unfamiliar with the area.
We have selected hotels in town for those wanting to explore Charlottesville as well as hotels located closer to US-250, the highway leading to Crozet.
Please see our hotel recommendations below:
Rideshares are abundant in Charlottesville for transportation around town and can be taken to Crozet. However, booking rides from Crozet back to Charlottesville, especially late at night, can be expensive and unpredictable.
We will have transportation to and from the venue from the Hampton and Omni Hotels. If you RSVP'd and chose a hotel, your spot will be guaranteed, and you will receive a message with more details!
Otherwise, rideshares from Charlottesville to Crozet are possible but can be long, so please plan accordingly as we will not be able to accommodate additional people on the shuttles. Cars can be left at the venue overnight, but please plan to get them the following day before 3 pm.
Both CHO and RIC have rental car services available through major car rental companies.
