We recommend downtown or near the Old Port, near a metro station if you would like to use public transit to get around (it's a great way to see the city!). Downtown and Old Port have the most options for hotels. If you prefer airBNB, the Plateau and St Henri are lovely neighborhoods to stay in.

Easy option: Taxis are $50 flat fee to downtown. Cheap option: The 747 bus is $10, you buy a ticket at an STM terminal in the airport, and that ticket lasts you for public transit for 24 hours.

If you'd like to try public transit, the venue is a 10 minute walk from a metro station. You can also take an Uber (note Montreal does not have Lyft).

Yes there is parking available at the venue, it is $10 for the day on weekends.
