Casey is TJ’s younger brother and one of his best friends. They’ve overcome a lot of bitter whiffleball and nerf basketball battles to get to this point. TJ had the honor of serving as Casey’s Best Man at his wedding in 2022 and it was a privilege to be able to ask Casey to serve in that role for his own wedding. A former D1-baseball player, Casey served in Military Intelligence in the US Army and now has a successful career in education software. Someone please make sure he wears sunscreen during the wedding weekend.

Nick and TJ met at Clemson and quickly became best friends. They were rarely seen without each other during undergrad. Their combined love for Bruce is sometimes too much for those around them to handle. TJ also served as Nick’s Best Man when he married his lovely wife, Kelly, and TJ always hoped he would be able to have Nick join him on his own ‘Big Day.’ 5 years later, it’s finally coming true. Nick is a gifted writer and once won South Carolina College Writer of the Year while at Clemson. He's also a great guitar player and he and TJ played a few 'gigs' together once upon a time. Originally from Dallas, TX, Nick's only downfall is being a Dallas Cowboys fan. Please try not to hold that against him.

Jamie is TJ’s youngest brother and some would call him his “mini-me.” TJ and Jamie share a love for learning, trivia, and politics, but differ on their belief in playing the lottery. Jamie plans to follow TJ’s footsteps into Medical School, though likely in a much more lucrative field. He is currently studying at Columbia University in NYC, where he serves as an RA, a Campus Tour Guide, and one of the leaders of the school's Whitewater Kayaking Club. All those years of his siblings adding "A Life for Jamie" on the Wenzel Family shopping list seem to finally be paying off.

Todd is TJ's cousin and long-time friend. Todd and TJ grew up together in Dunellen and TJ successfully recruited Todd to the Clemson football bandwagon. They traveled to 2 National Championship Games together, along with Todd's brother Travis. Todd was actually the one who first introduced TJ to Parker House and the Columns many years ago, where he now chose to celebrate his wedding weekend. Todd famously gave up his priceless Parker House VIP Card because he didn't want to stand in a light drizzle, but we won't talk about that! Everyone's a VIP this weekend! Todd is also the Dad of Caden, our Ring Bearer.

Travis is also T.J.'s cousin and one of his oldest friends. Just 2 years apart, they grew up playing sports together and hanging with the same crowds (TJ has tagged along with him since they were in diapers). Travis was a basketball star like his brother and now has a successful career in finance (he's a math savant). Travis also joined the Clemson bandwagon and made both natty trips with T.J. and Todd. Travis can be the life of the party, though you may find him talking to Carrie's dad Steve about golf or Big East basketball at several points this weekend. Please redirect him to the dance floor, if so. Please also add Travis to the sunscreen watch with Casey.

Tim and TJ met during their freshman year at Clemson and quickly bonded over their Northeast Catholic roots and love for the New York Giants. Tim (Dr. Overton) went on to get his Doctorate in Psychology and is now a successful Psychologist in Philadelphia. TJ has leaned on his sage counsel more than a few times. Fun fact, Tim has an instagram page dedicated to his tendency to say unintentionally sad things. @sadthingstimsays has quite a few gems.

Trevor was one of TJ's med school classmates. The two quickly became friends by being two of the oldest guys in the room, but that friendship grew over their mutual love for baseball. Trevor is completing a residency in Interventional Radiology at Duke University. He will never bring it up himself, but Trevor was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays as a pitcher out of high school. Please take the opportunity to ask him about it when you meet/see him. He would love that.

Connor was also a med school classmate of TJ's. The two actually interviewed for med school at USCSOMG on the same day and were later excited to learn that each had chosen to attend there. Connor kept TJ in shape through the first half of med school with his daily morning workout plans, which were unfortunately interrupted by the pandemic (it was definitely the pandemic, not TJ's laziness). Connor is completing a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Prisma Health in Columbia, SC. He also played linebacker at Clemson and was on the 2017 National Championship team there. Like Trevor, please take the opportunity to ask him about this, he will love it.

George was also a med school classmate of TJ's. Originally from Carmel, NY, he and TJ bonded over their love for the Yankees and Giants and The Sopranos. George is completing a residency in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. George started his own company prior to med school and created a "hangover prevention" powder known as The Regimen. We may need to sprinkle some in the water at the wedding, Georgie.

Dan is TJ's soon to be brother-in-law, married to Carrie's sister, Erin. When TJ started dating Carrie, he and Dan quickly bonded over their similar family backgrounds and love for the New York Yankees. They regularly text about The Sopranos with cousin Craig and find humor in a lot of the same things. Dan is also a killer guitar player!

Carrie's eldest sister. The big sister who would spend lazy rainy days making endless cookies and vegging out on movies with Carrie. Fun fact: Like a true eldest of siblings, Erin drove Carrie to school in their mom's minivan when she only had her driver's permit. (not sure if mom knows this). People tell Carrie it's funny how not one of the Venables sisters are alike, but if there's the most similarity, it's Erin and Carrie. This may be a result of Erin always letting Carrie hang out with her and her friends when growing up (which Carrie later learned was called, babysitting).

Carrie's second oldest sister. The big sister who Carrie turns to for honest fashion sense while styling outfits, and the person to turn to on how to negotiate at work. They both share a love for Beyonce and Rook coffee trips. While hanging out with Leslie, you're guaranteed a good laugh with a "Leslie quote". Leslie is McKenna's mom, who is our most beloved niece and Flower girl <3

Deirdre is Carries 3rd oldest sister. Growing up, Carrie always copied Deidre's latest fashion trends, who remembers the side-ripped bell bottoms? Deirdre is the big sister who took Carrie under her wing when she was a Senior and Carrie just a Freshmen at Manasquan HS. Deirdre took Carrie under her wing again in California, when these two lived together in San Diego. Their most shared content in their DM's are Dr. Pimple Popper videos. Their most loved meal together is pizza paired with a good hazy IPA.

Kelsey is TJ's sister, who Carrie is so thankful to soon call a sister of her own. It didn't take long for these two to develop a close friendship, as Kelsey has welcomed Carrie as one of their own since day one of meeting each other. Some of Carrie's favorite memories with Kelsey is a good game of QuipLash, enjoying drinks poolside or on her and TJ's parent's boat <3

Lindsay is Carrie's cousin on her mom's (the Brown's) side. Collectively, when the Venables and the Brown girls are together, they are referred to as, the Brownables. A fun fact is that both Carrie and Lindsay have family nicknames of farm animals: Lamb and Cow. A couple of Carrie's most favorite memories with Lindsay is going to the Mummer's Parade in Philly and Lindsay's own Bachelorette weekend in Atlantic City. Lindsay is also a member of the BeyHive!

Chelsea is Carrie's cousin on her mom's (the Brown's) side. She is also an Occupational Therapist and lived in Austin, TX the same time Carrie was there. Chelsea quickly became a mentor and big sister to Carrie during this time and still is. Chelsea has also taught everything Carrie knows about dance moves. When at the wedding, you should ask her about, "The Tour de France" party trick

Michelle is Carrie's cousin on her Dad's side and a best friend. Carrie's favorite memory with Michelle is their cross country road trip from NJ to CA, in Carrie's little Honda Civic. When Carrie asked Michelle if she'd like to join the trip, there was no question! Michelle was all in. Within a couple weeks they hit the road.

Jen is Carrie's best friend and oldest friendship. Jen and Carrie met in 2nd grade when Carrie transferred to Mountz Elementary. Their friendship brought their family generations together as eventually their parents became friends, and then their grandparents. Carrie and Jen still hold traditions from their younger years like sleep overs and her mom's chocolate chip pancakes in the morning. When Jen and Carrie are together, don't expect them to ever show up anywhere on time. Jen is a very talented graphic designer and artist who is making this day special as the creator of our wedding logo.

Alison and Carrie met in elementary school, around 7th grade is when their acquaintance grew into a life long best friendship. Through the years, you could catch Alison and Carrie rollerblading to Parker House's back porch, frequently visiting Hoffmans, running half marathons and/or the SL 5 together, or bar hopping while on the annual summer bike crawl. Alison is contributing to making this wedding reception beautiful by helping put together the floral table arrangements! She has a true talent with interior design and Carrie is so happy to have a personal touch from a best friend on her big day. Alison owns an interior design studio in Spring Lake Heights, Week's End Co.

Sammi is one of Carries best friends, and freshmen roommate at St. Joseph's University. Sammi transferred to Clemson after freshmen year and it didn't take much convincing for Carrie to join her... Carrie transferred to Clemson the following semester. Sammi and Carrie then remained college roommates until graduating Clemson in 2013. In 2020, these two finally got to live in the same city again when Carrie moved to Greenville, SC. It's a true love story!

Maddy is Carrie's college and graduate school roommate and best friend. Maddy transferred to St. Joseph's University and filled Sammi's spot as Carrie's roommate Sophomore year. It didn't take long for Carrie and Maddy to become best friends. Carrie and Maddy only lived together for one semester before Carrie moved to South Carolina. Over the years they remained in touch, then became roommates again in Austin, TX, where Carrie and Maddy went to graduate school together for Occupational Therapy. Carrie and Maddy went through what felt like blood, sweat and tears of OT school but still managed to simultaneously have the time of their lives in Austin. Those are some core life memories for Carrie.
