We will hop in cars at the hotel and caravan down to Volcanoes National Park. The drive is relatively straightforward. Our recommendation would be to stay on the road.

Once we arrive at Volcanoes National Park, we will spend a half day adventuring, visiting some LAVAL tubes, and trying our best not to sample the forbidden queso. The hike we'll be doing is called the Kilauea Iki Trail from Devastation Trailhead. You can find it by using www.google.com, a platform for finding things on the internet. Costs for this are $30 per car, and can be paid upon arrival. No need to make a reservation. We would recommend bringing snacks, water, and sunscreen. Wear appropriate Lava Proof footwear.

Johno and Carson really want to see the summit of Mauna Kea. In order to drive to the top, a 4x4 vehicle is required. If you would like to participate in this activity, you will need to either rent a capable vehicle, or coordinate ahead of time with someone else who is.

Carson and Johno will say their vows in front of friends and family while standing mere FEET away from a deadly drop. The tension will be...palpable

Come toast (or roast) the newly nuptialed couple over tropical beverages and local cuisine.

After we wrap up the festivities, we'll cozy up by a fire, eat some s'mores, and tell tawdry stories about our youth. We recommend bringing a little something to stay warm if you're someone who runs cold.
