Johno had planned on going back to OH to visit Carson maybe 3-4 months after their initial meeting. Rachel and Nora told him that was a bad idea, and he bought a return flight 2 weeks later to see Carson, Nick and Jen. Always listen to your sisters.

Johno was playing it cautious, and introduced Carson to his entire family on the third date. They wrangled cattle...

Long distance dating turned into long distance road trips. A favorite was a visit to Asheville, NC and the Biltmore

Enter COVID-19. Carson's office in Cincinnati shut down, so she bought a one way ticket to Dallas and moved into a full house with Thom, Nora, Rachel, Johno, Bartlett and Muffin. Hard to say who had it best during this "Quarancation", but several kegs were purchased.

Living in a 12'x8' mudroom with Johno, Carson had to work out her anger somehow. As you can tell, Johno was thriving.

Carson put her restless energy to work learning new cooking skills during Quarancation, and Thom was only happy to play instructor

In keeping with her strict religious faith, Carson showed the Dallas crew the traditional Easter celebrations of her people by organizing a day-long adult easter egg hunt which Thom won...and therefore lost.

Carson brought Johno along on a special Spornhauer family tradition: The Hilton Head Trip. After over 20 trips with just the family, the Spornhauers added some boyfriends to the mix. Johno received partial credit for 'rescuing' Jackie from an errant stingray.

Johno got to experience the joy of celebrating with a special group of Buckeye fans after a win. Little did he know, that his next several OSU football games would show him what it TRULY meant to be a fan of the storied program...despair.

Johno and Carson moved to Denver together! Still nursing a questionable exhaust pipe burn, Carson dulled her pain through the installation of Christmas decor.

After a Christmas trip to Mexico, Carson brought Johno to Ouray as a gift for his 30th birthday. Also included in her gift was COVID for both Johno and (we assume) most of the small mountain town.

After being sick for 12 days, dehydrated, and under clothed....Carson triumphantly and with a sunny disposition summited Mt. Bierstadt, her first 14er. She is eagerly anticipating the next one.

After learning that you can just...chop down a Christmas tree, it became a tradition to choose and slaughter some unsuspecting greenery every year after Thanksgiving. Here we see Carson sizing up her victim.

After several runs catching the basics with Coach, Carson really started to enjoy real skiing.

Johno hit a knee in Cusco, Peru and asked Carson an important question.

The next day, they summited the Salkantay Pass with a group of new friends.

And then, from the top of Huayna Picchu, looked out with hope onto what else they would tackle together.
