Our Wedding

As many of you know, we met during Covid in a nontraditional, but becoming the new normal way, Tinder. We started talking on the app, then on Snapchat (because Jacob said it was more polite to ask for my snapchat than my number). Then one beautiful summer day, Jacob asked me out on a date. Me being me, I was very hesitant and needed a lot of persuading from a certain friend (you know who you are). I decided to say yes and even let this strange man pick me up. (Who was I?) The date went wonderfully and we just instantly clicked. And from there, the rest is history!

Casey's Side

I met Casey in person for the first time on June 10th, 2020 after getting to know each other on Tinder for a while. I picked her up at the house we now live in together and I just remember her smile and beautiful blonde hair as we rode to Dairy Queen together. I don’t remember what we were talking about but just thought it was so natural. I felt like we could be good friends if we weren’t going to date. As we got to the pond where we had our first date with our Blizzards, we ate and talked some more. I saw then that I didn’t want to be friends at all with her, I needed to date her. She was very pretty, smart, funny and seemed like a family oriented person which was incredibly important to me. I can honestly say there’s been no regrets for the past 4 plus years leading up to this day where I will make her my forever partner. I can’t imagine how unfulfilled my life would be if I never swiped right.

Our Story

We decided to take a random day trip to Wells, ME and found out we both loved coming here!

Our first vacation with Casey's family to Wells, ME. Casey's family goes every year since she was little.

Our first trip to Universal! We rode VelociCoaster and both said it was the best rollercoaster EVER!!!

We love our simple date nights. Just simple time for us!

Our most recent trip to Walt Disney World! Where Casey's Dreams FINALLY came True!!!

We stopped to take pictures and Jacob told the photographer he had one more pose and that was when Casey's mom handed him the ring and Jacob got down on one knee!!

Alexis, or Lexi for short, is the Bride's cousin. She's been there for everything. They may be 5 years apart in age, but age is nothing to these two. These two have been through it all together. To say she is a cousin, is an insult. She is more of a sister than a cousin.

Leo and Jacob became friends in high school. They soon became the closest of friends, walking home together and hanging out at each other's houses while trying to stay out of trouble. It didn't work most of the time. As the years passed, they never grew apart, only closer while sharing memories at Herbie's or the golf course. Jacob couldn't picture anyone else in this role of best man because that's truly what Leo is.

Casey and Angela met in college. Some say the two look more like sisters than friends, and in public the two often get mistaken for sisters. Ang and Casey met Freshman year and then lived in a suite together for the next 3 years! Boy were those 3 years wild! Angela has always been the friend to listen without judging, to give advice without asking and a shoulder to cry on.

Nolan is the Bride's brother. Before getting engaged, Jacob and Casey always talked about how important it was to have Nolan a part of Jacob's party. Nolan has truly become like a brother to Jacob and he couldn't be more excited to make it official. The "Nolar Bear" as our friends affectionately call him is someone Jacob couldn't imagine not standing up there with us.

Sabrina and Casey also met in college. One weekend, Casey decided to stay at college instead of go home and Sabrina invited Casey to hangout with her and her friends. The rest is history! Casey and Sabrina lived together in a suite the next 3 years and Casey was even a bridesmaid in Sabrina's wedding! Sabrina has always been the friend to give the advice necessary. She's the one you can count on day in, day out.

Scott and Jacob have been friends since high school. Scott and Mike Thomas are cousins and that is how Jacob was introduced. Little did he know that he would gain a lifelong friend in that process. Scott and Jacob are definitely two peas in a pod, avid sports fans, emotional men and animal lovers. They've shared quite a few heart to hearts and often say how much they love each other. Casey gets jealous often. Scott was always in Jacob's mind when thinking of groomsmen.

Kristan and Casey met each other in college in nursing classes. They would study together and take their ritual "pre-exam shot" the night before an exam. After graduating, they lost touch a little but rekindled it through snapchatting their way through their night shifts as nurses. Fun Fact: Kristan and her husband, James, actually met Jacob for the first time on their wedding night at their house! (Jacob was mortified to be going to a wedding in jeans and a sweatshirt)

James and Jacob met on James's wedding night funny enough. James famously said he didn't like Jacob which James swears he doesn't remember. Even after all that, James and Jacob have become so close so fast. James is one of the most dependable guys you'll ever meet. Always there to talk about life, drink a beer or help with a home project...while drinking a beer. Jacob really wanted James as a part of this day and is incredibly appreciative he wanted to be there.

James

Kaylee and Casey met each other in college. While these two weren't close in college, their friendship developed afterwards. Kaylee is the crazy friend that if you need a crazy, reckless night, she's your go-to. But she's also the friend that gives amazing heart-to-hearts when they're needed.

Mike and Jacob have been friends since the summer before high school. Since then, the two became very close. They shared a love for sports, music and gaming together and still talk every day even though Mike lives in Georgia. Whether it was driving home from a pickup basketball game or drinking blackberry sangria at Outback with Mike's family, the memories Mike and Jacob shared will last a lifetime. Jacob is excited to cut a rug on the dance floor with this great friend after standing at the alter with him.

Hannah is the Groom's Sister, but not only that she's the soon to be Bride's new Sister! Hannah has always been that person you can rely on to be there.

John is the groom's brother and has the best hair of the entire crew. John and Jacob aren't as close as they used to be now that they don't live together but Jacob wouldn't let him get out of being there next to him on the happiest day of his life so far. The shared experiences and love these two brothers shared over the years is immeasurable and Jacob is so happy that John is growing into such a great person.

John

Addison is the Bride's little cousin and God-daughter, but she's always been her little baby. Growing up, Addison and Casey have been inseparable. Most people when out in public mistake Addison for Casey's daughter. Casey couldn't imagine this day without Addison standing up next to her.

For our families and friends that have to fly to join us, we've compiled a list of airports that are easiest to fly into!

Worcester Regional Airport (ORH)

Worcester Airport is the closest airport to fly into, only a 35 minute drive to Sturbridge! However, they offer limited flights in and out. They offer rental cars on property as well through Avis, Budget, Hertz, and Thrifty!

Bradley International Airport (BDL)

Bradley International Airport is the next closest airport. Located in Windsor Locks, CT, Bradley is only a 50 minute drive to Sturbridge. With more flights and airlines, you'll have more flexibility with lesser travel! Bradley also offers rental cars, including Avis, Budget, Payless, Enterprise, National, Alamo, Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty.

Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)

Boston Logan International Airport is the farthest airport from Sturbridge, but offers the biggest variety for flights in and out! Logan is about an hour drive to Sturbridge. Due to being located in Boston, Logan offers more rental car companies to rent from if necessary, including Avis, Budget, Payless, Enterprise, National, Alamo, Hertz, Dollar, Sixt, Thrifty and Zipcar.
