Casey and Brian met during the time of Covid-19 when they were both seniors at UMass Amherst. When Brian and Casey met in November, Brian only had three weeks left in Amherst, before moving back to Long Island to complete his student teaching in-person. Despite only having three weeks to initially get to know each other, Casey and Brian knew that it was worth it to give their connection a chance to grow.

Over the next month, Casey and Brian spent many nights FaceTiming and getting to know each other. When Brian visited Casey in Amherst mid-December, he decided to make their relationship official. Casey and Brian spent their spring semester of senior year alternating weekends spent in Amherst and Long Island.

With Casey and Brian both being Disney people, naturally they spent their first vacation together in Disney World. They had their first "argument" when Brian swore that putting an ice cube down Casey's shirt would be refreshing. They worked through it and the trip showed them how much they cared for each other and how they could see a future together.

Many adventures later and Brian decided it was time to propose. He planned a great cruise with their closest friends, without telling Casey the real purpose of the trip. When Brian insisted on taking pictures before their nice dinner at "Chops Grille" on board, Casey wanted to look her best and was very glad she did. The rest of the cruise was spent celebrating their love and appreciating the friends who helped make the trip magical.
